Turkey Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has four dishes: clam chowder, pumpkin pie, gratin, and fish meunière. Bring Franklin the requested ingredients at Resident Services, then add one secret ingredient to each finished dish for bonus rewards. Gratin and fish meunière ingredients vary by island hemisphere.
Turkey Day recipes and ingredients
Franklin serves the dishes in this order. The regular ingredients are shown when he asks for each dish; the secret ingredient is added after that dish is completed once.
| Dish | Ingredients Franklin requests | Secret ingredient |
|---|---|---|
| Clam chowder | 3 Manila clams | 1 scallop |
| Pumpkin pie | 1 orange pumpkin and 1 pumpkin in a color Franklin selects: green, white, or yellow | 1 each of the two pumpkin colors Franklin did not request |
| Gratin — Northern Hemisphere | 1 mussel, potato, or carrot; and 1 flat mushroom, round mushroom, skinny mushroom, or oyster | 1 Dungeness crab |
| Gratin — Southern Hemisphere | 1 squid; and 1 sea urchin, potato, or carrot | 1 Dungeness crab |
| Fish meunière — Northern Hemisphere | 1 sea bass; and 1 dab, olive flounder, red snapper, or flour | 1 barred knifejaw |
| Fish meunière — Southern Hemisphere | 1 sea bass; and 1 olive flounder, red snapper, or flour | 1 barred knifejaw |
For the pumpkin pie secret ingredients, bring the two colors other than the one Franklin requested. For example, if he asks for orange and white, the secret ingredients are green and yellow.
How to find the ingredients
- Manila clams: Dig at beach spots where water spurts from the sand.
- Pumpkins: Grow pumpkin starts. Keep multiple colors available because the requested non-orange color is selected for your island.
- Mushrooms: In the Northern Hemisphere, look around trees during November.
- Fish: Use a fishing rod in the ocean to catch the fish Franklin requests.
- Sea creatures: Equip a wetsuit and dive for catches such as scallops, mussels, oysters, sea urchins, and Dungeness crabs.
- Carrots and potatoes: Grow them on your island.
- Flour: At a kitchen, craft it using 5 wheat.
If you are missing something
Check villagers’ homes for someone cooking. A cooking villager asks you to bring a fish or sea creature; delivering it gives you a random Turkey Day ingredient and may provide a clue about a secret ingredient. Villager trades are a useful fallback when you cannot find the item Franklin requested.
