What did ConcernedApe confirm about Stardew Valley 1.7?
Eric Barone, who develops the game as ConcernedApe, confirmed that a 1.7 update is coming to the existing Stardew Valley. Barone reiterated that an update was in the works in his official February 26, 2026 anniversary post. He said the goal was to give people who had not played for a while a reason to return. In that post, Barone also said the game had sold 50 million copies and that he had worked on it for almost 15 years, while its public release had reached its 10-year anniversary. When is the Stardew Valley 1.7 update coming out?
There is no confirmed release date or estimate in the cited announcements. Barone’s original confirmation explicitly said neither had been set. No platform-by-platform rollout schedule or pricing announcement is established in those sources, so claims assigning a launch window should be treated as speculation unless a later official announcement confirms them.

What new features are coming in Stardew Valley 1.7?
The known feature detail is that Clint and Sandy are expected to become marriage candidates. PC Gamer reported this as part of the February 26, 2026 anniversary reveal and linked to Barone’s video and post: PC Gamer’s report on Clint and Sandy.
That does not amount to a complete feature list. The cited sources do not establish other additions or changes, so unconfirmed ideas should not be presented as part of the update. Barone has said he is working on the update because the game has a large, growing playerbase and he still has ideas for improving it.
