Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update is not still waiting to reach consoles and mobile: ConcernedApe announced a November 4, 2024 release for those platforms, as version 1.6.9. The official blog later recorded console patch activity in February 2025, including the Switch patch becoming available by February 26. The “finally shares progress” framing is therefore outdated unless attached to a newer, separately verified announcement.
What happened to the Stardew Valley 1.6 console and mobile ports?
ConcernedApe announced on September 22, 2024 that the console and mobile versions of update 1.6 would release on November 4, 2024. Those ports were designated version 1.6.9, which the announcement said would also come to PC around that time. Read the official release-date announcement.

That announcement followed months of uncertainty. When 1.6 launched on PC on March 19, 2024, ConcernedApe said console and mobile updates were in development but gave no estimate. Is there a new progress announcement?
The official material substantiates the 2024 release-date announcement and the February 2025 console patch record; it does not substantiate a newer progress announcement matching the headline. Treat claims that the 1.6 console or mobile ports are still pending as stale unless they cite a later platform-specific notice.

The official update posts establish the announced schedule and historical patch notes, not the current version number shown by every platform store. For a precise present-day version, check the listing or update history for the platform you play on.

Version 1.6.9 was the announced version for the console and mobile release, and ConcernedApe said it would also arrive on PC around the same time. That is a statement about the release plan in September 2024, not a guarantee that every platform has the same current build today; the later console patch record shows that platform updates continued after release.
