Yes, Corsair really did build a Stream Deck-style control surface into a keyboard. The $349.99 Galleon 100 SD is a wired full-size mechanical gaming keyboard whose conventional number-pad area is replaced by 12 customizable LCD keys, two rotary dials, and a large color display.
That makes it an unusually capable command center for streamers, sim players, and PC power users—but it is not literally a removable Stream Deck Plus inserted into the keyboard, and the design gives up the tactile convenience of a normal numpad.

What is the Corsair Galleon 100 SD?
The Corsair Galleon 100 SD combines a premium mechanical keyboard with an integrated Stream Deck interface. Corsair describes it as a full-size, extended keyboard, but the right-hand section is not a conventional number pad. Instead, it is a programmable control surface designed around Elgato’s Stream Deck software.
The unusual section contains:
- 12 individually customizable LCD buttons;
- two rotary dials for controls such as volume, lighting, or application-specific adjustments; and
- a color display for status information, artwork, profiles, and other Stream Deck content.
Secondary reporting describes the display as a 5-inch, 720 × 1280 IPS panel. That physical-screen detail comes from coverage of Corsair’s CES demonstration rather than the core specification list on Corsair’s product page.

- Dynamic RGB Backlighting: Light up your desktop with six onboard lighting effects, assign a color to each lighting zone, or program your own vibrant lighting effects across five RGB lighting zones with CORSAIR iCUE software.
- Six Dedicated Macro Keys: Activate functions, shortcuts, or keypresses in just one stroke with six dedicated macro keys, easily set up through CORSAIR iCUE software, or use instant streaming commands through Elgato Stream Deck software.
- Dust and Spill-Resistant Design: IP42-rated protection guards against accidents so your gameplay never has to stop.
- Detachable Palm Rest: A soft rubber palm rest reduces stress on your hands so you can play longer in comfort, with a textured surface to keep your hands from slipping.
- Dedicated Volume and Media Keys: Convenient control for media playback and fine-tuning volume on-the-fly without having to interrupt your game.
So “a whole Stream Deck in a keyboard” is fair shorthand for what the Galleon does. Technically, however, it is an integrated Stream Deck-style hardware and software interface—not a standalone retail Stream Deck Plus that can be removed and used elsewhere.
Functionally, the concept is familiar: programmable LCD buttons can show icons and labels, change with profiles, and trigger software actions. The exact interface, display behavior, plug-in support, and ergonomics should not automatically be assumed to match every feature of a separate Stream Deck Plus.
The keyboard underneath
The Galleon is more than a macro pad attached to a keyboard. Its main keyboard uses Corsair’s pre-lubed MLX Pulse linear mechanical switches and a hot-swappable PCB, allowing compatible switches to be replaced without replacing the entire board.

Corsair also includes FlashTap, its implementation of simultaneous opposing cardinal directions (SOCD) handling. The company positions it for techniques such as counter-strafing and jiggle-peeking. That does not make the keyboard universally better for competitive games: SOCD rules vary by game, tournament, and anti-cheat environment, so check the rules for the games you play.

- Elgato Stream Deck Integration: Customizable Stream Deck keys and dials give you precise, real-time command of your entire gaming setup—without adding another device to your desk
- Streamline your play: React faster and stay focused in-game, whether you're navigating menus with hotkeys or executing complex combos with Multi Actions
- Go beyond the game: Get instant, one-touch control of apps like Discord and Spotify without leaving your game using plugins from Elgato Marketplace
- Dynamic LCD screen: Keep tabs on everything from hardware performance to your favorite Twitch channels in real time on a customizable full-color 5" display
- Uncompromising speed and precision: Secure your competitive advantage thanks to 8,000Hz hyperpolling and FlashTap SOCD for ultra-responsive inputs and advanced movement techniques
Likewise, 8,000Hz polling is a technical capability, not a promise of zero input lag or a guaranteed competitive advantage. Any real-world benefit depends on the PC, game engine, USB path, and the player’s sensitivity to latency.
What can the built-in controls do?
The Stream Deck section is most useful when it replaces repeated keyboard shortcuts or awkward trips through menus. A streamer could assign buttons to:
- start or stop a stream;
- switch OBS scenes and sources;
- mute a microphone;
- change audio outputs;
- switch webcams; and
- control lighting.
For games, profiles can present different commands for shooters, simulations, MMORPGs, and action RPGs. A flight, space, truck, or racing simulator may benefit from having many contextual commands available without memorizing every key binding.

On the desktop, the buttons can launch applications, files, or commands, control Spotify, display information such as weather or music artwork, and trigger multi-step workflows where supported. They can also be configured as a virtual number pad, although that is not necessarily as quick or tactile as dedicated physical number keys.

The software catch
The Galleon’s versatility is also its biggest ownership caveat. Reporting on the keyboard described separate software paths: Corsair Web Hub for keyboard settings and Elgato Stream Deck software for the integrated control section.
That means the product should not be treated as one completely self-contained software device. Before buying, users should establish:
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?
A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11- whether both applications are required for the desired setup;
- how profiles switch when games and applications launch;
- whether Stream Deck actions continue to work offline;
- what remains available if one application crashes;
- how firmware updates affect profiles and plug-ins; and
- whether keyboard lighting, polling, and Stream Deck actions can all be managed from one interface.
Ordinary hardware macro keys are simpler: they usually have fixed keycaps, limited visual feedback, and fewer software dependencies. The Galleon offers much more feedback and flexibility, but that flexibility is valuable only if you are willing to configure profiles, maintain plug-ins, and troubleshoot the software when an integration stops working.

The number-pad compromise
The Galleon is “full-size” in Corsair’s category terminology, but it does not offer the normal fixed numpad experience. That distinction matters for spreadsheet work, accounting, data entry, and navigation-heavy applications.
If you rarely use a numpad, replacing it with programmable controls may be an excellent trade. If you enter numbers quickly by touch, depend on dedicated navigation keys, or want the predictable feel of physical number keys, the Galleon’s virtual numpad mode may feel like a compromise rather than an upgrade.

Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

- You’ve Reached the Top: The CORSAIR K100 RGB is the pinnacle of CORSAIR keyboards, offering the cutting-edge performance, style, durability, and customization that gamers need to stand above the rest.
- The Centerpiece of Your Setup: The CORSAIR K100 RGB boasts a refined design bolstered by a durable aluminum frame, dynamic per-key RGB backlighting, and a 44-zone three-sided LightEdge.
- Powered by CORSAIR AXON Hyper-Processing Technology: CORSAIR’s most advanced gaming keyboard experience delivers up to 4x faster throughput with native 4,000Hz hyper-polling and 4,000Hz key scanning, while driving up to 20-layer lighting effects.

- Multi-Function at Your Fingertips: Take command over backlighting, media jogging, and more with a versatile iCUE control wheel, fully programmable to perform actions in games and applications.
But the integrated design is not automatically cheaper or better than separate devices. A conventional keyboard plus a standalone Stream Deck gives you more freedom to position each component, replace one without replacing the other, and upgrade them independently. A keyboard with ordinary macro keys costs less and is easier to manage, while a compact keyboard paired with a separate control pad can preserve a flexible desk layout.
Those alternatives may also be preferable if you already own a keyboard and Stream Deck. In that case, the Galleon mostly consolidates hardware you already have rather than adding a new capability.
Who should buy it?
Strong fit
- Streamers who want immediate OBS, audio, webcam, and lighting controls.
- Simulation players with many game-specific commands.
- Power users who regularly use macros and application profiles.
- People who dislike reaching for a separate control pad.
- Buyers building a premium integrated desk setup from scratch.
Weak fit
- Competitive FPS players seeking a minimalist setup, especially where SOCD features are restricted.
- Anyone who requires wireless connectivity.
- Users who need a traditional physical numpad.
- People who already own a preferred keyboard and standalone Stream Deck.
- Budget-conscious buyers or anyone unlikely to configure profiles and plug-ins.
Verdict
The Corsair Galleon 100 SD is a real and unusually ambitious combination: a full-size wired mechanical keyboard with 12 LCD controls, two dials, and a large color display occupying the number-pad area. It is closest to a Stream Deck integrated into a keyboard in workflow terms, not in the literal hardware sense.
Buy it if one compact command center is worth $349.99 to you and you regularly control streams, applications, audio, lighting, or simulation games. Skip it if you want wireless freedom, a conventional numpad, simple software, or independent keyboard and control-pad upgrades. The novelty is compelling, but the value depends entirely on whether those programmable controls become part of your daily workflow.
