Counter-Strike 2’s March 31, 2025 “Spring Forward” update reportedly added three weapon collections to the weekly Care Package, new items to the Armory, and visual cleanup on Inferno and Train. The contemporaneous details below come from Insider Gaming’s April 1, 2025 report; the linked Valve announcement did not provide readable notes in the version available for review.
What changed in the March 31 update?
The update covered two kinds of changes: new cosmetic content for the Care Package and Armory, plus map adjustments on Inferno and Train. Insider Gaming described it as a content update, not a brand-new operation.
Which skins were added to the weekly Care Package?
Insider Gaming reported that the weekly Care Package selection gained the Ascent, Boreal and Radiant collections. The publication said the collections brought over 70 weapon finishes; that is its reported figure, not a count independently confirmed in the readable Valve notes.
The article also raised the possibility that players might not be able to choose which collection supplies a Care Package skin. That was presented as a caveat, not a confirmed rule.

What Armory items were reported?
Insider Gaming’s 2025 report listed three additions and their then-reported credit costs:
- Fever case: two Armory credits.
- Random Train collection skin: four Armory credits.
- XM1014 Solitude limited-edition item: 15 Armory credits.
The report said the XM1014 item would leave the Armory on July 13, 2025. That date has passed, and the listed costs and availability describe the 2025 update—not current shop conditions.

What changed on Inferno and Train?
Insider Gaming characterized the map work as “spring cleaning”: surfaces were made cleaner and clutter was reduced on Inferno and Train. It also reported that Inferno’s Banana section was noticeably wider. The available account does not establish a competitive or tactical effect, so it does not support conclusions about balance, sightlines or match outcomes.
