Crimson Desert Patch 1.01.00 adds five summonable mounts and changes how running and sprinting work for both the player character and horse. The March 28, 2026 update also adjusts flight and stamina use, shortens loading after fast travel and death, and adds several quality-of-life options. It is a past update, not the game’s latest patch.
What Patch 1.01.00 changes
Pearl Abyss published Patch Notes Version 1.01.00 on March 28, 2026, at 18:00 UTC. The studio’s official patch notes describe five summonable mounts, movement-control adjustments, reduced loading for Abyss Trace travel and revival, and a broader set of content and interface changes. Later entries appear in the official announcements index, so 1.01.00 should be understood as a historical update rather than a statement of current patch status.
Which five mounts were added?
The patch adds five mounts that players can obtain and summon after meeting in-game conditions. Pearl Abyss divides them into two categories:

The notice does not give a like-for-like performance ranking for these mounts. Players who had caught any of the three Legendary Animals before the update were to receive the corresponding reward retroactively in the Extra Rewards List when they entered the game.

How did running and sprinting change?
The movement adjustment applies to both the player character and horse. Speed increases when the run key is held or tapped once, and no longer drops simply because the key is not held continuously. Full sprint remains different: the player still needs to press the sprint button periodically.
Pearl Abyss also says the player character turns more responsively during short-distance movement. The notes describe intended control changes, but give no measured speed increase and do not claim that every movement complaint was resolved.

What changed about flight and stamina?
Flight receives several usability adjustments: it uses less stamina, no longer has the described brief pause before movement, permits equipped equipment to be used while flying, and has a fix for cases where flight would not activate.
- Aerial Stab now requires more stamina with each consecutive use. The adjustment follows an unintended issue that had allowed repeated use in midair.
- Stamina costs for Aerial Maneuver and Aerial Swing were reduced.
- Sprinting and using Crow Wings consume less stamina.
Did fast travel and revival get faster?
Pearl Abyss says loading times were reduced when traveling through Abyss Traces and when respawning after death. The notice does not provide a percentage, a measured duration, or test conditions, so it supports the direction of the change but not a specific time-saving figure.

Content and inventory
- Material chests were added throughout Pywel.
- Refinement Tokens allow equipment tempering up to Stage 4 without additional materials.
- “Make Now” lets players cook or craft from a selected recipe without choosing ingredients separately.
- “Store all selected items” makes it possible to move selected inventory items to private storage.
Map, skills, and notifications
- A minimap option keeps north at the top.
- Skill-level stat information was added, along with key and anvil map icons.
- Notifications show expanded details and have increased capacity; recipe displays are grouped.
Platform-specific and technical changes
On PlayStation 5, the patch adds a “Fixed 4K Output” option. The notes say it outputs at 4K regardless of the display’s native resolution, and that the option can be disabled. Pearl Abyss also lists rendering improvements, a DLSS-RR preset change, stability and performance optimization, and crash fixes across PC, console, and Mac. A fix for frame drops during the Crowcaller battle is also noted. No benchmark or frame-rate measurements are provided.
The original notice listed availability for Steam PC and Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games Store, and Mac App Store. That describes the rollout announced for version 1.01.00, not current platform support or patch availability.
