Before release, Pearl Abyss announced a Khaled Shield preorder bonus for eligible editions and an additional Grotevant Plate Set for PlayStation editions. The preorder window has passed, so those announced rewards should not be assumed to come with a copy sold today.
When did Crimson Desert come out?
Pearl Abyss announced the release date on October 22, 2025, with the line, “The fight for Pywel begins March 19, 2026.” The studio confirmed the worldwide launch on March 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM PDT. The launch notice listed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, Epic Games Store, and ROG Xbox Ally. Pearl Abyss’s release-date announcement and worldwide launch notice document those dates and platforms.
What were the Crimson Desert preorder rewards?
- Khaled Shield: Pearl Abyss announced it as a preorder bonus for every edition, subject to the Mac exception below.
- Grotevant Plate Set: An additional bonus for PlayStation editions only; it was not announced as a bonus for every platform.
The announcement described preorder rewards before launch. The official material does not establish that a post-launch copy still includes a code for either item. Check the exact retailer listing and ask the seller if the listing is unclear; do not infer bonus eligibility from the edition name alone. Pearl Abyss’s original preorder announcement and edition and preorder details state the historical terms.
Mac preorder exception
Pearl Abyss said the Mac version was offered only as a digital Standard Edition and did not include the preorder bonus. That specific qualification narrows the broader announcement that every edition would receive the Khaled Shield. The October 2025 preorder notice named PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Mac; the later March 2026 launch notice also named Epic Games Store and ROG Xbox Ally.

What came with each edition?
The editions announced were Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s. The table gives the US prices announced in September 2025, not a current price comparison. Package contents and physical availability can differ by region.
| Edition | US announced price (September 2025) | Announced contents |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 | Full game. The announced preorder extras were the Khaled Shield and, for PS5 editions, the Grotevant Plate Set. |
| Deluxe | $89.99 | Full game and Deluxe Pack: Balgran Shield, Exclaire Horse Tack Set, and Kairos Plate Set. The physical edition also listed a limited SteelBook, Pywel map, developer letter, three character photo cards, Greymane brooch pin, and three patches. |
| Collector’s | $279.99 | Full game; 17-inch Kliff and Golden Star diorama; limited SteelBook; fabric map; developer letter; three photo cards; Greymane brooch pin; and three patches. Listed digital extras included the Deluxe Pack and Ultimate Pack, plus preorder and PlayStation bonuses where eligible. Pearl Abyss described it as a limited release while supplies lasted. |
These prices and physical contents come from Pearl Abyss and PLAION’s September 24, 2025 physical-edition announcement. The detailed edition notice says the game disc is included only with a physical-edition purchase, physical editions are available in select regions, and package contents may vary by region. Review the seller’s listing for the particular platform and region. It also said the Deluxe Pack would be sold separately after release and requires the full game.

How to assess a copy being sold now
- Check platform: The Grotevant Plate Set was a PlayStation-edition bonus, not a general platform bonus.
- Check physical or digital: The disc and boxed collectibles require a physical edition; the Mac edition was digital Standard only.
- Check edition tier: Deluxe adds the Deluxe Pack, while Collector’s adds the listed physical collectibles and Ultimate Pack.
- Check seller and region: Physical availability and package contents vary. Historical preorder rewards are not proof that a present-day listing includes a redeemable code.
PlayStation’s product page currently presents US PS5 Standard and Deluxe editions with the Grotevant Plate Set and lists Standard at $69.99. This is a current US PlayStation listing, not evidence that other retailers, regions, or copies include the same items or price. See the PlayStation product page and confirm the terms shown for the exact copy you intend to buy.
