To clear the Vault of Vengeance in Crimson Desert, bring Focused Shot, Nature’s Grasp, and Axiom Force. Move the two power cores onto the entrance pedestals, shoot the paired targets, lift the door, then disable the four controls in the first laser chamber. The later steps are to cross the laser hallway, seat a power panel, correct a misplaced power source, and activate the final button with Force Palm.
Where to find the Vault of Vengeance
Walkthroughs place the Vault of Vengeance along the Path of Providence route: Spire of Stars → Sanctorum of Insight → Secret Garden → Vault of Vengeance. VULKK places it after the Chapter IV quest “Obsession and Madness,” but access timing is summarized differently across guides, so use the named route and your in-game progression rather than treating that chapter description as an exact unlock requirement. Abilities to prepare
- Focused Shot: hit the arrow targets and wall controls.
- Nature’s Grasp: lift the entrance door after the timed targets are activated.
- Axiom Force: move the energized power cores and the later power source.
- Force Palm: activate the large button at the end. Force Current is a convenient option for placing the flat panel; an airborne Force Palm can also work, according to VULKK.
Vault of Vengeance walkthrough
1. Open the entrance
- Use Axiom Force to place both energized cubes or power cores on the pedestals beside the entrance.
- Use Focused Shot to hit the two yellow targets in quick succession. The targets are timed, so be ready to shoot the second immediately after the first.
- Use Nature’s Grasp to lift the loosened door and enter.
2. Shut down the first laser chamber
Use Focused Shot on all four lights or wall controls. This disables the lasers and the central barrier. The walkthroughs report a Golden Sword in this chamber; collect it and check for chests before proceeding. The platform lowers after the controls are dealt with. (VULKK; PowerPyx; GuideVault)
3. Cross the lower laser hallway and seat the panel
Move through the lower hallway while avoiding the laser sweeps. At the far end, use Force Current to guide the flat energy panel into the wall socket; VULKK describes this as the easiest method. Its alternative is to jump, glide, and use Force Palm while airborne to push the panel into place. Once seated, the panel activates the teleporter. (VULKK)

4. Restore the Abyss
After teleporting out, use Axiom Force to move the misplaced power source beside the button. Then use Force Palm on the large button to restore the Abyss and complete the puzzle. (VULKK)
Rewards and optional loot
Walkthroughs report an Abyss Artifact for completion and a Golden Sword in the laser chamber. VULKK also reports optional chests, including one behind vines opposite the artifact that contains a Faded Abyss Artifact and Swift Abyss Gear. Is a Vault of Vengeance progression bug relevant?
Yes, a progression issue was historically acknowledged and fixed. Pearl Abyss’s Version 1.06.01 all-platform hotfix, dated May 12, 2026, states: “Fixed an issue where progression at the ‘Vault of Vengeance’ Abyss was not possible.” The note lists Steam PC, Steam Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games Store as available at publication; Mac App Store was still in progress then. This confirms a past fix, not that every later build or an individual save is free of problems. If progress still appears blocked, first verify that each puzzle step is complete and that the power panel and source are seated correctly; the patch note alone cannot diagnose a particular save.
