“The program can’t start because crlfom110.dll is missing”
The crlfom110.dll error usually means that CorelDRAW cannot find one of its own application files. The file is the Fill and Outline Manager Library, a 32-bit CorelDRAW(R) component associated primarily with CorelDRAW/Corel Graphics 11-era installations.
You may see one of these messages:
- “The program can’t start because crlfom110.dll is missing from your computer.”
- “This application failed to start because crlfom110.dll was not found.”
- “Error loading crlfom110.dll. The specified module could not be found.”
- “The file crlfom110.dll is missing or corrupted.”
- “A required component is missing: crlfom110.dll. Please install the application again.”
The safest solution is to repair or reinstall the matching CorelDRAW installation. Do not download a random copy and place it in System32.

Which fix applies to you
Use this list before changing anything:
- CorelDRAW stopped launching after an uninstall, cleanup, or failed update: repair the CorelDRAW installation.
- Your antivirus recently detected or removed the file: check quarantine and security history.
- You copied CorelDRAW files from another computer: remove the mixed files and reinstall the complete matching product.
- The file exists in the CorelDRAW folder but the error remains: investigate a missing dependency, permissions problem, or compatibility issue.
- Several unrelated programs also report missing files: repair Windows with DISM and System File Checker.
- You are using a current CorelDRAW release: use its own installer, repair option, support channel, and updates. Do not assume it uses the same
crlfom110.dllfilename as CorelDRAW 11.
What crlfom110.dll is
crlfom110.dll is an application-private DLL, not a normal Windows system component. Its reported description is Fill and Outline Manager Library, and it belongs to CorelDRAW(R), developed by Corel Corporation.
Historical CorelDRAW 11 diagnostics place the file in a path similar to:
#1 Best Overall
- Perfect quality CD digital audio extraction (ripping)
- Fastest CD Ripper available
- Extract audio from CDs to wav or Mp3
- Extract many other file formats including wma, m4q, aac, aiff, cda and more
- Extract many other file formats including wma, m4q, aac, aiff, cda and more
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 11ProgramsCRLFOM110.dll
The exact folder can differ if CorelDRAW was installed to another drive or directory. The 110 suffix points to the CorelDRAW 11 era, but it does not prove that every Corel installation uses this file. Historical records also show different build information, so a single DLL version should not be treated as universal.
Because this is a 32-bit application library, a 32-bit CorelDRAW process needs compatible 32-bit dependencies even when Windows itself is 64-bit.
Fix 1: Repair CorelDRAW from Programs and Features
Repair is the best first step because it restores the missing DLL together with the other files CorelDRAW needs.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Close CorelDRAW and any related Corel applications.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type:
text
appwiz.cpl
- Press Enter.
- Find CorelDRAW, Corel Graphics, or the matching Corel installation in the list.
- Select it.
- Click Uninstall/Change, Change, or the equivalent option shown by your installer.
- Choose Repair if the option is available.
- Follow the installer prompts.
- Restart Windows.
- Start CorelDRAW again.
How to tell whether repair worked
The repair succeeded if CorelDRAW opens without the crlfom110.dll message and its normal tools load correctly. If the same error appears, return to the installer and choose a complete reinstall instead.
If there is no Repair option, the installed files may be too incomplete for maintenance mode. Use the original legitimate installation media or the official Corel installer for the exact product version.
Fix 2: Reinstall the complete matching CorelDRAW product
A DLL from another Corel version is not a safe replacement. Do not substitute crlfom100.dll, CRLFOM.dll, or a file copied from a later release.
Before reinstalling, save your own documents, custom templates, brushes, fonts, and workspace files if they are stored inside the Corel directory.
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Select the affected CorelDRAW or Corel Graphics installation.
- Choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
- Complete the removal process.
- Restart Windows.
- Run the original legitimate Corel installer.
- Install the same product family and release that created the affected documents.
- Allow the installer to finish copying all program files.
- Apply the applicable official update or patch for that installation.
- Restart Windows.
- Launch CorelDRAW.
If the installer reports that a source file is missing, the installation media may be incomplete or damaged. Check the installer log, verify that the installation drive has free space, temporarily review antivirus actions, and use a known-good legitimate installer source.

Reinstalling the application is more reliable than copying one DLL because the error may involve another Corel module or a dependency that the loader reports indirectly.
Fix 3: Check antivirus quarantine
Security software can quarantine an old executable component, particularly when a legacy application has not been used recently.
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- Select Virus & threat protection.
- Select Protection history.
- Look for an action involving
crlfom110.dll, CorelDRAW, or the Corel installation directory. - Open the detection details.
- Confirm that the file belongs to your genuine Corel installation and that it was not downloaded separately.
- Restore it only when you can verify its origin.
- If Windows Security continues to remove it, do not repeatedly restore the file. Repair or reinstall CorelDRAW instead.
If you use another antivirus product, open its quarantine or history screen and follow the same verification process.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsDo not add a broad exclusion for C:Windows, System32, or your entire drive. If a security vendor confirms a false detection, use the narrowest exclusion possible and reinstall the application from trusted media.
Fix 4: Confirm that CorelDRAW is not using mixed files
Copying only part of an old CorelDRAW installation often produces this error. The executable, crlfom110.dll, and other libraries must come from a compatible product build.
Check the expected application directory:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 11Programs
Your path may differ. Look for the file in the Programs folder, not only in Windows folders.
If crlfom110.dll is missing, reinstall CorelDRAW rather than borrowing the file from another computer. If it is present, compare the situation with the following possibilities:
Recommended Free Tools
- The file came from a different CorelDRAW release.
- Another required DLL is missing.
- The file is blocked or corrupted.
- CorelDRAW lacks permission to read its installation folder.
- The old program is encountering a compatibility problem on the current Windows version.
Do not overwrite a complete installation with individual files from a different computer.
Fix 5: Check whether another dependency is actually missing
Windows may name crlfom110.dll even when the loader cannot load a dependency required by that DLL. In that situation, replacing the named file does not solve the underlying problem.
The safest response is to run the Corel installer repair or reinstall the application. If the installer or Corel documentation identifies a Microsoft runtime requirement, install the package matching the application architecture. A 32-bit CorelDRAW process requires the x86 runtime on 64-bit Windows; installing only an x64 package may not help.
Do not install Visual C++ packages at random. Use them only when the installer, error details, or vendor documentation points to a missing runtime.

DISM and System File Checker repair protected Windows files and the Windows component store. They normally do not recreate a private CorelDRAW DLL, so use them as secondary diagnostics rather than the primary fix.
Run DISM
- Open Start.
- Type
Command Prompt. - Right-click Command Prompt.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Run:
text
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Wait for the operation to finish.
- Restart Windows if DISM reports that repair completed or requests a restart.
Run System File Checker
After DISM completes, open an elevated Command Prompt again and run:
sfc /scannow
Wait until verification reaches 100 percent. Restart Windows and test CorelDRAW.
If SFC reports that it found and repaired corrupted files, test the application again. If both commands complete without resolving the error, return to CorelDRAW repair or reinstall it. These commands are not a substitute for restoring the application’s own files.
Repeating DISM and SFC without knowing what changed can waste time while the Corel installation remains incomplete. Outbyte PC Repair can scan for system problems and show what needs attention, while the repair itself is handled by the full version; reinstalling CorelDRAW remains the definitive fix for a missing application DLL.
Fix 7: Update or reinstall related drivers only when evidence points there
A graphics driver is not normally the source of crlfom110.dll, but an old application can also fail during startup because of graphics initialization or broader compatibility problems.
Use Device Manager only if CorelDRAW shows graphics-related symptoms, crashes after the DLL error is resolved, or Windows reports a device problem.
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click your graphics adapter.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- Install an offered update and restart Windows.
If the problem began immediately after a driver update:

- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click the adapter and select Properties.
- Open the Driver tab.
- Choose Roll Back Driver if available.
- Restart Windows.
For a clean driver reinstall, download the correct package from the graphics hardware manufacturer, uninstall the existing driver through its supported installer, restart, and install the replacement. Do not remove unrelated devices or use Device Manager to uninstall CorelDRAW files.
Finding stale drivers manually can mean checking several hardware vendors and matching 32-bit application behavior to a 64-bit operating system. Outbyte Driver Updater can scan and identify driver issues, while driver installation is completed by the full version; it is not a replacement for repairing CorelDRAW itself.
Fix 8: Test compatibility and permissions
CorelDRAW 11 is legacy 32-bit software. The fact that a DLL is present does not establish that the complete application is compatible with every current Windows configuration.
Try the built-in compatibility troubleshooter:
- Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
- Select Properties.
- Open the Compatibility tab.
- Select Run compatibility troubleshooter.
- Follow the recommended test.
- Start CorelDRAW and check whether it loads.
You can also select Run this program as an administrator temporarily under the same tab. If that changes the result, review the installation folder permissions rather than permanently running every application with elevated privileges.
If the launcher opens but the workspace behaves incorrectly, reset the workspace only as a settings test. Corel documentation for current products uses F8 while starting the application for workspace reset, but this does not restore a genuinely missing DLL and may not apply to CorelDRAW 11.

Do not copy crlfom110.dll into either of these folders:
C:WindowsSystem32
C:WindowsSysWOW64
Those folders are not general-purpose storage for application DLLs. The correct copy should remain with the CorelDRAW installation so the application can load its private files together.

Do not run:
regsvr32 crlfom110.dll
regsvr32 is intended for DLLs that expose the registration functions required by COM or ActiveX components. An ordinary application library does not necessarily support registration, and a registration error does not repair a missing CorelDRAW installation. Microsoft also provides separate 32-bit and 64-bit registration tools, so using the command blindly can create another misleading error.

Why random DLL downloads are unsafe
A standalone DLL download can be:
- The wrong CorelDRAW release.
- The wrong architecture.
- Modified or bundled with unwanted software.
- Missing companion modules.
- Incompatible with the executable already installed.
- Unable to repair the actual dependency or installer problem.
No verified official Microsoft or Corel download was established for crlfom110.dll as an isolated file. Use the original Corel media, a legitimate Corel installer, Corel support, or the official update channel instead.
Manual copying is reasonable only when recovering the file from the same trusted Corel installation media or a verified matching installation, and even then a complete repair is preferable.
Quick cause-and-fix table
| Likely cause | Best action |
|---|---|
| CorelDRAW installation is incomplete | Run Repair, then reinstall if needed |
| Antivirus quarantined the file | Verify quarantine, then repair or reinstall |
| Files were copied from another computer | Remove the mixed installation and reinstall the matching product |
| A dependency is missing | Repair the application and install only documented matching runtimes |
| Windows has broader corruption | Run DISM, then sfc /scannow |
| The file exists but CorelDRAW still fails | Check dependencies, permissions, and compatibility |
| A driver problem is also present | Update or reinstall the affected device driver |
Prevention
- Keep the complete CorelDRAW installation media or installer in a known location.
- Do not delete individual DLLs during cleanup.
- Avoid registry cleaners that remove application entries or files.
- Keep antivirus history available when an old application suddenly stops launching.
- Do not mix files from CorelDRAW 10, 11, or newer releases.
- Back up CorelDRAW documents, templates, fonts, and custom workspaces separately from program files.
- For current CorelDRAW products, use the supported installer and official update process rather than legacy DLL sources.
FAQ
Is crlfom110.dll a Windows file?
No. It is a CorelDRAW application component named Fill and Outline Manager Library. It should normally stay with the CorelDRAW program files.
Which program uses crlfom110.dll?
It is primarily associated with CorelDRAW/Corel Graphics 11-era software and related Corel graphics installations. The error alone does not prove which executable requested it.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Should I download crlfom110.dll from a DLL website?
No. A random replacement may be unsafe, mismatched, or incomplete. Repair or reinstall CorelDRAW from legitimate media instead.
Should I copy it to System32?
No. A 32-bit CorelDRAW application should load its private DLL from its own installation directory.
Will installing Visual C++ fix the error?
Only if a matching runtime dependency is actually missing. The normal fix for this file is repairing or reinstalling CorelDRAW, not installing runtimes without evidence.
Why does the error remain when the file is present?
The named DLL may have a missing dependency, may be corrupted, may not match the CorelDRAW executable, or the legacy application may have a compatibility problem. Repair the complete installation first.
Will DISM or SFC restore the file?
Usually not. They repair protected Windows components, while crlfom110.dll belongs to CorelDRAW. Use them when other Windows applications also show system-file problems.
