What is Woolhaven about?
The story sends the Lamb toward a mysterious mountain and the lost homeland of the lambs. The expansion’s store descriptions frame the task as rebuilding the fallen settlement, reclaiming the mountain, restoring the power of Yngya, and confronting the flock’s past. Massive Monster’s announcement highlighted two new dungeons, winter protection, ranching, and rare beasts. Those are announced features, not a complete inventory of everything in the released expansion. The Steam listing and Xbox listing also describe rebuilding Woolhaven and restoring Yngya’s power.

Do you need the base game, and can you start Woolhaven immediately?
Yes, you need Cult of the Lamb; Woolhaven is an add-on, not a standalone release. Nintendo’s UK listing identifies the base game as a requirement, and Steam specifies that the base game must be version 1.5 or later. Xbox says the expansion’s content is accessible near completion of the base game, so owning the DLC does not mean you can enter its content at the start of a new save.
How much does Woolhaven cost?
Prices depend on platform, region, and any active discount. The Nintendo US store lists the Switch DLC at a regular price of $16.99; that is a regional storefront price, not a universal price or a guarantee of what it costs today. The same US storefront lists a Woolhaven Edition for Switch that bundles the base game and DLC. Check your platform’s store for its current price and whether you need the standalone add-on or a bundle.
