Cut the Rope: Time Travel carries the familiar candy-and-rope physics puzzles into different eras, with a twist: each level asks you to feed two Noms. That gives this review its central question: do the extra character and period-themed mechanics refresh a well-established puzzle loop? The official descriptions establish the premise, but not a firsthand verdict on how consistently the puzzles deliver.
What changes when Om Nom travels through time?
The basic task remains instantly legible: cut ropes, use physics to guide candy, and feed hungry characters. Here, there are two Noms to satisfy in each level, so the puzzle is not simply a matter of getting candy to one waiting mouth. The official descriptions also call out collectible stars and hidden treasures as part of the adventure.
ZeptoLab sums up the setup this way: “Join Om Nom as he travels back in time to feed his ancestors with candy.” The extra Nom is the clearest change to the original game’s one-character objective; players must account for two destinations while working through the level’s obstacles.
Do the eras add meaningful variety?
The time-travel premise gives the game a changing backdrop as well as a reason to introduce different mechanics. ZeptoLab lists settings that include the Middle Ages, Renaissance, pirate ship, Egypt, Greece, Stone Age, Disco Era, Wild West, Asian Dynasty and Industrial Revolution, as well as the Future and Parallel Universe. Its examples position the settings as more than a single historical backdrop, though the official descriptions do not detail every era’s puzzle mechanics.

That makes variety the right lens for judging the sequel: the two-Nom objective changes what each puzzle asks of you, while the era-specific twists aim to change how you solve it. Whether those additions make the full set of levels consistently inventive is a matter for play; store descriptions alone cannot establish that quality.
How many levels are included?
Official descriptions give different totals. ZeptoLab’s game page says “160+ levels,” while the current Apple and Google Play listings say “175+” and describe 12 time periods. These are attributed store and publisher figures, not a single independently reconciled count.

Cut the Rope: Time Travel has a clear reason to revisit the series: two Noms alter the familiar candy-delivery puzzle, and the journey spans a broad set of themed eras. Those ingredients support the “few new tricks” in the title. Calling the game charmingly addictive is the review’s evaluative framing rather than a conclusion established by official product pages; players looking for a firsthand assessment of puzzle quality should treat the premise as a reason to try it, not proof that every level succeeds.
