Where is the Relic safe?
The safe is on the floor in the apartment’s far corner near the windows. Rewind close to the beginning of the recording and switch to the thermal layer. Around 00:41–00:43, when Evelyn is near the counter getting a drink, aim at the floor in that corner and hold the scan until it completes. The safe is the required clue that identifies the Relic’s location.
How to use the braindance clues
The recording has three layers: audio, visual, and thermal. The phone call and datapad explain why the Relic needs cold storage; the thermal layer is where you scan the safe itself.
Audio: scan Yorinobu’s phone
In the audio layer, scan Yorinobu’s phone and listen to the call. It points him to documentation about the Relic’s storage requirements.

Visual: scan the datapad
Switch to the visual layer and wait until Yorinobu is on the bed reading his datapad. Scan it near the end of the recording, at about 02:44. The datapad provides the cold-storage clue. It cannot be scanned earlier when he is not reading it.
Thermal: scan the safe
Switch to thermal and rewind to the beginning to find the hidden safe. Other apartment objects also provide temperature-related clues: the champagne and ice bucket appear around 02:02, the vent around 02:42, and the fridge around 00:57. These are additional clues; the safe is the Relic-location clue you need.

Braindance controls
On PC, PC Gamer lists Shift to change layers, Q to rewind, E to fast-forward, and Space to play or pause. These keyboard controls are PC-specific; on console, follow the prompts shown in the game.

No. The visual-layer motion sensor camera and alarm system near the entrance, around 00:19, are optional scans that provide extra information. Other security equipment can be found around the elevator, living-room wall or ceiling, and bedroom. You can skip these and still find the Relic by scanning the thermal-layer safe.
