Ripperdocs sell new cyberware in the post-Update 2.0 system, and their stock expands as you level up and reach higher tiers. If the model you want is missing, keep progressing and check again.
How to buy and install a Sandevistan
- Open the map and travel to a ripperdoc.
- Open the cyberware menu and inspect the Operating System slot for available Sandevistan models.
- Choose a model you can afford and install it, provided you have enough cyberware capacity.
- If the model you want is not listed, level up and revisit a ripperdoc. CD PROJEKT RED says vendor stock expands as players reach new tiers in Update 2.0.
Ripperdocs remain the place to obtain new cyberware; the publisher also says existing cyberware can be upgraded at the ripperdoc screen. See CD PROJEKT RED’s cyberware overview.
Why isn’t the Sandevistan showing up?
Vendor inventory changes with level and tier progression, so a missing model does not necessarily mean you are at the wrong ripperdoc. A secondary guide labeled for Patch 2.31 lists the Militech Apogee at level 40 or higher, but the official sources cited here do not confirm that exact threshold. Treat it as version-sensitive, not a guaranteed unlock level; if the Apogee is absent, continue progressing and check the Operating System slot again. Check cyberware capacity before installing
Your available cyberware capacity can limit which implants you can equip. CD PROJEKT RED says capacity increases with level; the Edgerunner perk can let you exceed the limit, but doing so comes at a health cost. Plan around the capacity shown in your cyberware menu before buying or changing implants. See the publisher’s cyberware overview.

Which Sandevistan should you choose?
There is no single model that is best for every character. Compare the options available to you by their time-dilation effect, duration, cooldown, bonuses, and capacity cost. CD PROJEKT RED’s Bullet-Time Ninja build breakdown uses a Dynalar Sandevistan through much of the build and later recommends replacing it with an Apogee. That is advice for one example build, not a universal ranking.
Be cautious with exact stats in older guides: CD PROJEKT RED’s Update 2.1 patch notes document balance changes to the Apogee and Falcon. Check the descriptions in your installed game version rather than assuming old numerical values still apply.

Do you need Phantom Liberty?
No. The ripperdoc cyberware system described in Update 2.0 is part of the base game. CD PROJEKT RED’s Update 2.3 FAQ also says that update is free for owners of the base game and does not require Phantom Liberty. The expansion is not a stated prerequisite for getting a Sandevistan.
