Spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077’s endings: Nocturne OP55N1 starts the finale, but it does not immediately force you to choose an ending. The decisive route choice comes later, on the rooftop with Johnny. Finish the Panam or Rogue questline first if you want access to those allies, and make a manual save before the rooftop conversation so you can revisit the available routes.
What Nocturne OP55N1 means for your save
Nocturne OP55N1 is the 27th main story mission, given by Hanako after you complete Tapeworm. It begins at Embers, and the game warns you that you are approaching the Point of No Return. That warning signals the start of the finale, not an irreversible ending choice: the route is selected during a later conversation with Johnny. If you want more ending options, complete the relevant side quests before starting. You can proceed with the main story without doing so, but the Panam and Rogue ally routes depend on their questlines.

Nocturne OP55N1 walkthrough
- Go to Embers and meet Hanako. Enter the restaurant and speak with her.
- Leave Embers and talk to Johnny. After the conversation, head to Viktor’s clinic.
- Visit Viktor. Complete the clinic stop, then follow Misty.
- Go to the rooftop with Misty. Talk with Johnny there. This is where the available route choice determines which finale you begin.
- Make a manual save before choosing. It gives you a convenient return point if you want to try another available route.
The mission’s objectives lead from Hanako at Embers to Johnny, Viktor’s clinic, and finally Misty’s rooftop. You can complete the opening portions before deciding which ending path to take, but do not make the rooftop choice until you are ready to start that route.

Prepare the ending routes you want
Complete Panam’s questline before the finale to unlock her route, or Rogue’s questline to unlock hers. For the secret solo assault, the required dialogue happens earlier in Rogue’s Chippin’ In quest; it is not an ordinary ally choice that you can unlock by selecting a different rooftop response. These routes and their dialogue requirements are detailed in Push Square’s ending guide.

The route names describe different story outcomes; none is objectively the “best” ending. The secret assault is optional and has its own prerequisite, so completing Rogue’s questline alone does not guarantee that it will appear.

Can you replay endings after the credits?
After a base-game ending, choose One More Gig when it is offered. This returns you to the point before the Point of No Return, letting you replay the finale and choose another route with the options available on that save. PowerPyx’s endings guide describes this return option.

Phantom Liberty adds The Tower ending, which has a different post-ending behavior. After completing Things Done Changed, you cannot return to the Point of No Return to continue the game. CD PROJEKT RED Support says, “This is as designed,” explaining that a return would create an uncanny narrative experience and that the developers wanted V’s story to be able to end. See the official support explanation. This exception concerns The Tower ending; base-game endings retain the One More Gig return option.
