The announcement does not confirm that No Mercy itself returned elsewhere.
What did No Mercy do?
In the older Diablo IV skill system, No Mercy was a Barbarian Weapon Mastery passive whose effect was increased Critical Strike Chance. Blizzard’s 2025 patch notes refer to the named passive and describe fixing an issue where its Critical Strike Chance increase did not display in the Character Stats panel while the character was in town. That patch note confirms the passive existed in the older system; it is not evidence that it remains available after the redesign. Blizzard’s Diablo IV Patch Notes (2.2)

Game8’s historical skill listing gives five ranks with values of 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, and 15% Critical Strike Chance. Is No Mercy still in the Diablo 4 skill tree?
Blizzard’s Lord of Hatred announcement, published April 22, 2026, says the redesigned skill tree arrives April 28 and applies to all players. It states: “Passive nodes are no longer part of the skill tree, so you can concentrate points into Active skills.” That makes older passive-tree guides historically useful but not reliable directions for allocating points in the redesigned tree. Did No Mercy move to an Aspect or Unique?
Blizzard says some passive and key passive effects are moving to reimagined Legendary Aspects and Uniques. The announcement does not identify No Mercy as one of those effects or specify a direct replacement, so it is not established that the passive survived unchanged under another name or item. Check the current in-game skill and item descriptions rather than allocating points based on a legacy guide.

The historical description supports saying that No Mercy increased Critical Strike Chance; it does not establish a current rank, point cost, replacement, or build recommendation. Nor do the cited sources establish a No Mercy-specific performance statistic or a comparison with current Barbarian choices. For a current build, evaluate the actual available options in-game against your chosen damage skill, the conditions required to activate an effect, and the skill-point or gear opportunity cost.
