CD PROJEKT RED’s October 22, 2026 announcement says Edgerunners 2 Update 2.5 is available for PS5. The publisher’s technical-support page also identifies the update as live. Version availability can change, so if you are checking after October 30, use the console’s update check to see whether a newer patch has appeared. USB recovery for a repeatedly failing PS5 system-software download
Use this only if the PS5 system-software download itself repeatedly fails. Sony’s fallback requires a USB drive formatted as FAT32 or exFAT. Create the folders PS5/UPDATE, save the official system-software file there as PS5UPDATE.PUP, start the console in Safe Mode, and choose Update System Software > Update from USB Storage Device. Follow Sony’s official instructions for obtaining the file and using Safe Mode.
This process updates the console, not Cyberpunk 2077. It is not part of the normal game-patch workflow and is not required just because a game patch is available.
