Physical Day 1 edition
Bandai Namco’s listed Day 1 physical edition includes a World Compendium, Night City postcards, a map, and stickers. This is a description of that edition’s contents, not confirmation that it is currently in stock or that the compendium is sold separately. Availability depends on the selected region and platform.
Major updates and what they changed
Update 2.0 — September 21, 2023
CD PROJEKT RED released Update 2.0 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 21, 2023. It overhauled core gameplay features, including the police system and Perk trees. The publisher also said an SSD became a requirement and advised against using an HDD or a Steam Deck SD card because of bandwidth and data-streaming concerns. Its Update 2.0 announcement includes the release details and mod guidance.

The publisher recommended removing mods made for pre-2.0 versions until they had been updated. If you use mods, check that each one supports your installed game version before adding it back.

Update 2.2 — December 10, 2024
The free Update 2.2 added character and vehicle customization choices, Photo Mode functionality, technical improvements, and additional secrets. CD PROJEKT RED said it was available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S and credited Virtuos as a development partner. See the official Update 2.2 announcement.
