Kitten Space Agency (KSA), the RocketWerkz spaceflight simulation associated with DayZ creator Dean Hall, is still in pre-alpha. A July 2026 announcement presented an early teaser captured from real-time pre-alpha footage and said the game was available free through Ahwoo. Calling it a “Kerbal Space Program killer” is promotional framing—not evidence that KSA has replaced or surpassed KSP.
What is KSA?
KSA stands for Kitten Space Agency, a spaceflight simulation project from RocketWerkz, the studio founded by Dean Hall. The project was announced in 2024 as a working title and was framed in relation to Kerbal Space Program. Niche Gamer’s November 5, 2024 report described the game as a “Kerbal Space Program killer” and connected its team to people who had worked on KSP and KSP2.
That connection does not make KSA an authorized sequel or establish that it uses KSP intellectual property. It is more accurate to describe it as a KSP-inspired project or spiritual successor.
Why is KSA connected to Kerbal Space Program?
In the 2024 report, Hall said RocketWerkz had been one of the final three bids to develop KSP2. He described the pitch as emphasizing design and technical aspects over art. That account helps explain the studio’s KSP connection, but it is Hall’s account as reported by Niche Gamer, not independently established selection records.

Asked whether Take-Two might challenge similarities between the games, Hall replied, “They are welcome to try! Would be some great publicity for us.” That is a reported remark, not legal analysis or evidence of a dispute.
What has been shown, and what is its development status?
On July 7, 2026, Ahwoo announced a first early-development teaser captured from real-time pre-alpha footage. The available information does not establish a final release date, a final feature set, or a long-term platform plan. Treat claims about eventual features or timing as unconfirmed unless RocketWerkz or Ahwoo makes a later, specific announcement.
How can you get KSA?
Ahwoo’s July 2026 announcement says KSA is available free through Ahwoo. The community-maintained KSA FAQ says Ahwoo is the exclusive download route, lists Windows 10 and Windows 11 as supported, and says Steam, Epic Games Store, and itch.io are not distribution channels. Because those detailed platform claims come from a community wiki, check the current official Ahwoo listing for download instructions and compatibility before installing.
