The adjustments mix PvE and Crucible tuning: Choir of One’s reserves and close-range projectile damage were reduced while its hip-fire damage against players increased, and several other weapons received changes to damage, ammunition, or perk uptime. These are the changes Bungie said were coming with the episode, which was scheduled to launch October 8, 2024—not a description of today’s live sandbox. Bungie’s October 3 preview is the source for the figures below.
Why Bungie adjusted these Exotics
Bungie said its Revenant Exotic balance pass focused on weapon types and elements featured in the episode’s Artifact, as well as weapons that had needed attention. The preview also explained the split behind Choir of One’s adjustments: Bungie considered it too strong in PvE, including its reserves and point-blank damage, while its Crucible hip-fire damage against players and ammunition were insufficient.

All 11 announced Exotic weapon changes

A moth now spawns after two direct hits, and the moth cooldown is reduced from four seconds to three, shared with the kill trigger. |

All values and behavior changes in the table are from Bungie’s October 3, 2024 announcement. They describe the announced Revenant balance pass, not necessarily the state of the weapons in a later live update.
What the changes target
PvE and PvP tuning can pull in different directions
Choir of One is the clearest example: Bungie announced lower reserves and less point-blank projectile impact damage, alongside increased hip-fire damage against players and a defined Crucible ammo amount. Tarrabah’s Solar resistance also has separate values for combatants and players. Those adjustments cannot be summarized accurately as a single, mode-wide buff or nerf.

More ways to build or sustain a weapon’s perk
Huckleberry’s kill-triggered full reload, Symmetry’s added Dynamic Charge stack on kills, and Bad Juju’s longer String of Curses lifetime all touch how a weapon’s effects connect to kills or continued use. Duality moves in a different direction: fewer On Black Wings stacks are needed for its maximum effect, while the buff lasts longer.
Damage and handling adjustments
Ex Diris combines a combatant damage increase with changes intended to its projectile behavior and recoil. Fighting Lion gains a volatile burst from direct hits. Prospector’s detonation and grenade functions are substantially reworked, while Chaperone’s Roadborn activation and active-state handling are adjusted. Lumina’s change concerns how its hip-fire healing projectiles behave.

Announcement versus current tuning
Bungie’s preview stated intended changes for Episode: Revenant; it did not establish through independent testing how each Exotic performed after the changes, nor does it confirm their current live-game tuning.
