The in-game instruction quoted in a 2023 Bungie.net forum report says: “Complete Salvage or Deep Dive activities to increase your Sonar Station Reputation”. The report is a player post, not an official Bungie statement. Read the forum report.

Bungie’s Season of the Deep guide describes Salvage as a six-player activity and Deep Dive as playable solo or with a fireteam of up to three. The guide lists the season dates as May 23 through August 22, but does not establish whether these activities remain available in 2026. Bungie’s Season of the Deep guide.

- Check access. Look in the Director for Salvage or Deep Dive and confirm that your account can launch the activity. Bungie’s seasonal guide lists a Season Pass entry requirement, while a contemporaneous forum post reported that the activities were inaccessible without the pass. Those sources describe historical access, not current legacy-content rules. The player report about access and another contemporaneous report do not establish present-day availability.
- Choose an activity you can launch. Select Salvage for its six-player format or Deep Dive if you want a solo option or a fireteam of up to three, as described in Bungie’s seasonal guide.
- Complete the activity. The quoted instruction names both activities as ways to increase Sonar Station reputation.
- Check your progress. Return to the Sonar Station and look for reputation or vendor-rank progress.
Sonar Station reputation and Guardian Rank objectives
A 2023 forum report says a historical Guardian Rank objective required two Sonar Station vendor rank-ups. That is a reported objective from that period, not confirmation that it is still active. See the historical objective report.
