Deus Ex Remastered is official, but it no longer has a confirmed release date. Aspyr and Eidos-Montréal originally targeted February 5, 2026, then withdrew that date. Steam now lists the game as “To be announced.” The remaster was initially announced for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
When is Deus Ex Remastered coming out?
There is no confirmed new release date. Aspyr’s September 2025 announcement set February 5, 2026 as the target, but the company later said the game would not launch on that date. The PlayStation Store listing still shows 2/5/2026 beside an “Announced” label. That is the original target date, not a reliable current launch date: it conflicts with the delay and Steam’s TBA status. Aspyr said existing preorders would be refunded when it announced the delay; no replacement date was given in that report.

What is Deus Ex Remastered?
It is an official remaster of the original Deus Ex, announced by Aspyr in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal. Set in 2052, the game follows JC Denton, a nano-augmented UNATCO operative, through a conspiracy-driven world. Its mix of role-playing, action, stealth, hacking, and augmentation choices shapes how players approach missions and their branching outcomes. What changes does the remaster announce?
Visual and character updates
Aspyr describes new lighting, dynamic shadows, particle systems, and upscaled textures, along with rebuilt character models, lip-synced dialogue, and ragdoll physics. These are publisher-announced features, not findings from hands-on play.

Controls and quality of life
The announced control updates include radial menus, fluid weapon management, and streamlined navigation, drawing on control design from later Deus Ex games. Steam also lists autosaves, faster loading, achievement tracking, cloud saves across supported platforms, controller support, and multi-screen support, including a 4K-ready interface and ultrawide and multi-monitor display support. These descriptions do not establish how the changes feel in practice.

Steam publishes minimum and recommended Windows system requirements, but the game is not yet available there. Check the Steam listing for the requirements and any changes to the listing as release information develops.
