That first step gives you the subclass, but it does not unlock every Prismatic option. To complete the system, finish the campaign, open its Prismatic chests, complete Destined Heroes and its Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark quest lines, run the Lost City Adventures, and search the Pale Heart for Fragment chests.
The Final Shape launched on June 4, 2024, and Prismatic is included with the Standard Edition alongside the campaign, Pale Heart destination, raid, and new subclass. Bungie’s edition information confirms the included content.

What you need to unlock everything
- Own and begin Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
- Interact with the Prismatic Conflux during “Transmigration,” the first campaign mission.
- Open every glowing Prismatic reward chest you find during the campaign.
- Finish the campaign on either Normal or Legendary difficulty.
- Complete Destined Heroes, then its Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark quest lines.
- Complete the Prismatic rewards from the Adventures in The Lost City.
- Explore the Pale Heart and solve the mechanics guarding its Prismatic Fragment chests.
Normal and Legendary provide the same Prismatic progression and subclass unlocks. Legendary is not required for Prismatic; choose it for its separate campaign rewards and challenge, not because it opens additional subclass items.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsStep 1: Unlock Prismatic during “Transmigration”
Start The Final Shape campaign and play the opening mission, Transmigration. In the old Tower’s war-table room in the Pale Heart, interact with the Prismatic Conflux. Prismatic then becomes permanently available to that character.
#1 Best Overall
- Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories
The campaign introduces the subclass and supplies much of its initial kit. Do not expect this interaction—or even campaign completion—to unlock every Super, grenade, melee, Aspect, or Fragment.
Step 2: Open every campaign Prismatic chest
Look for glowing Prismatic reward chests throughout the campaign. They can appear after major encounters or away from the direct objective route during traversal. Following the objective marker immediately after a fight can cause you to miss one.
These chests provide additional class-specific Supers, grenades, melees, Aspects, and other Prismatic options. If you want the fullest possible kit as early as possible, explore each mission before moving on rather than treating the campaign objective as the only route.
Step 3: Finish the post-campaign ability quests
After the campaign, continue the post-campaign exotic quest Destined Heroes. It also leads to the Ergo Sum Exotic sword and unlocks the two quest lines needed for the complete Prismatic grenade and melee pools:
- Lost in the Light
- Found in the Dark
Stages 1, 3, and 5 of each quest award Prismatic items from Manifestations of the Light chests. Completing the campaign alone is not enough to obtain every grenade and melee.
Step 4: Complete the Lost City Adventures
Post-campaign Adventure flags in The Pale Heart → The Lost City provide additional class-specific Prismatic rewards, including remaining Aspects and abilities. The relevant Adventures are:
- Queens, Part I
- Queens, Part II
- The Hollow, Part I
- The Hollow, Part II
- Home, Part I
- Home, Part II
These rewards are class-specific. A Hunter must complete the Hunter progression, a Titan the Titan progression, and a Warlock the Warlock progression. If the flags are missing, check that the campaign is complete on that character and that you have finished the Pale Heart follow-up quest chain from Ghost.

Every Prismatic Super, grenade, and melee
The exact options available depend on your class and on which campaign chests and post-campaign rewards you have collected.
Titan
- Supers: Twilight Arsenal, Thundercrash, Hammer of Sol, Glacial Quake, Bladefury
- Grenades: Glacier Grenade, Pulse Grenade, Thermite Grenade, Suppressor Grenade, Shackle Grenade
- Melees: Shield Throw, Shiver Strike, Hammer Strike, Thunderclap, Frenzied Blade
Hunter
- Supers: Storm’s Edge, Golden Gun: Marksman, Shadowshot: Deadfall, Silence and Squall, Silkstrike
- Grenades: Grapple, Magnetic Grenade, Swarm Grenade, Arcbolt Grenade, Duskfield Grenade
- Melees: Withering Blade, Snare Bomb, Knife Trick, Combination Blow, Threaded Spike
Warlock

- Grenades: Vortex Grenade, Healing Grenade, Storm Grenade, Coldsnap Grenade, Threadling Grenade

Prismatic also has a separate grenade behavior while you are Transcendent. Outside that state, it uses the normal class-specific grenade choices listed above.
Every Prismatic Aspect
Hunter Aspects
- Stylish Executioner
- Winter’s Shroud
- Threaded Specter
- Gunpowder Gamble
- Ascension
Titan Aspects
- Knockout
- Diamond Lance
- Drengr’s Lash
- Consecration
- Unbreakable
Warlock Aspects
- Feed the Void
- Bleak Watcher
- Weaver’s Call
- Lightning Surge
- Hellion
Campaign Prismatic chests, Lost in the Light, Found in the Dark, and the Lost City Adventures together supply the class’s Aspects. You can equip only two Aspects at a time, and those equipped Aspects determine how many Fragment slots your build has. Owning a Fragment does not let you equip it if the current Aspects do not provide a compatible open slot. Bungie’s subclass guide explains the Aspect and Fragment slot relationship.
Every Prismatic Fragment, or Facet
Prismatic’s 21 Fragments are officially called Facets:

Fragments come from several sources: campaign rewards, Pale Heart Prismatic chests, post-campaign activities, environmental puzzles, and Memory/Vestige objectives. They are not all simple free-world pickups, nor do they all come from one activity.
Rank #4
- Shatter Fate: Alter the story of AMC’s The Walking Dead by weaving your own path through the series’ events. Save the villain, kill the hero… and live with the consequences.
- Slash, Bash, and Shoot the Undead: Slay hordes of walkers in third-person action with a variety of melee and ranged weapons, including bats, katanas, revolvers, shotguns, and crossbows.
- Build Your Dream Team: Assemble your roster from over twelve iconic characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead, including Rick, Shane, Michonne, Carol, Daryl, and more.
- Survive the Apocalypse: Manage limited resources, scavenge for weapons and ammo, and maximize your party’s abilities to stay alive.
- Experience the Tension: Defend your camp, rescue survivors, and fight through stealth and all-out combat. Get one last chance at survival in a “broken state” before the zombie threat overwhelms you.
Once collected, a Prismatic Fragment is account-wide and can be used by other characters that have unlocked Prismatic. You do not need to collect the same Fragment chest again for every class.
Known Fragment chest examples
Pale Heart chests generally require a nearby mechanic before they open. Depending on the location, that may involve defeating a particular enemy group, carrying or depositing elemental charges, activating nodes, matching symbols, or completing a puzzle.
- Facet of Bravery: Found in a chest during The Ascent, near the crashed-airplane section.
- Facet of Devotion: Found during Dissent, after the boss encounter when the platforms begin disappearing. Take the non-objective route behind a pillar.
- Facet of Command: Located in The Impasse. Earn a Divided Prismatic Key by using a Scorch Cannon to break ice crystals, then correctly deposit Arc, Solar, and Void charges.
- Facet of Defiance: Found on the route through The Impasse toward Transgression. Complete “Shielded from Darkness” by defeating shielded enemies and a Tormentor to obtain a Transgressive Prismatic Key.
- Facet of Grace: Found in The Lost City. Defeat three Omens and the following Tormentor encounter to obtain an Elevated Prismatic Key.
- Facet of Justice: Found in The Landing. Solve the Hive-symbol and Solar-crystal puzzle, then defeat the Prismatic-shielded minibosses for a Refracting Prismatic Key.
The locations and mechanics above are documented examples, not a replacement for exploring the area around a locked chest. When a chest is visible but unavailable, first look for its local objective, enemy group, charge, node, or puzzle.
Common problems and fixes
“I finished the campaign, but abilities are still missing”
That is expected. Campaign completion does not unlock the complete grenade and melee pools. Continue Destined Heroes, then complete both Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark. Also check the Lost City Adventure flags and campaign Prismatic chests.

“Do I need Legendary?”
No. Normal and Legendary provide the same Prismatic progression. Legendary is optional for this purpose.
“A Prismatic chest is locked”
Find and complete the local chest mechanic. Look for named enemies, shielded enemies, elemental charges, activation nodes, symbol combinations, or a nearby puzzle.
“A node looks unlocked but is greyed out”
The item may already be unlocked but unavailable in the current build because you lack a compatible open slot or the required Aspect/Fragment capacity. Review the equipped Aspects and available slots rather than assuming the reward was lost.

“The Lost City flags are missing”
Confirm that the campaign is complete on the current character and that the Pale Heart follow-up chain from Ghost is finished. Progress does not automatically transfer between different character classes for class-specific abilities.
Does Prismatic progression carry between characters?
Class-specific Aspects, Supers, grenades, melees, and class abilities must be unlocked on the relevant Hunter, Titan, or Warlock. Completing a Hunter’s Prismatic progression does not complete Titan or Warlock progression.
Fragments are the exception: collected Prismatic Fragments are account-wide and become usable by other characters once those characters have unlocked Prismatic.
Complete unlock checklist
- Interact with the Prismatic Conflux in “Transmigration.”
- Open every glowing Prismatic chest during the campaign.
- Finish the campaign on Normal or Legendary.
- Complete Destined Heroes.
- Complete Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark.
- Run the six Lost City Adventures.
- Search Pale Heart zones for Prismatic Fragment chests and complete their local mechanics.
- Check the subclass screen for unlocked options, equipped Aspects, and available Fragment slots.
There is no console command or external tool that unlocks Prismatic items. All progression comes from the campaign, its chests, the related quests and Adventures, and Pale Heart exploration.
