Destiny 2’s 2024 Solstice ended when maintenance began on August 27, 2024. Its reward loop centered on the Solstice Forge: earn Silver Leaves by completing activities while carrying it, spend Leaves on Forge bounties, and use the resulting Solstice Alloys to unlock armor through Bonfire Bash. This is a retrospective guide; Bungie said event rewards were available only during the event.
How Solstice Forge progression worked
Bungie’s August 8, 2024 event announcement described a single progression loop for earning Solstice armor. Start by visiting Eva Levante in the Tower and collecting the Solstice Forge. The Forge served as the progression hub, with a bounty associated with each armor piece.

- Carry the Solstice Forge while completing activities to earn Silver Leaves.
- Spend Silver Leaves on Forge bounties. Bungie said players could reroll bounty sets.
- Complete bounties to earn Solstice Alloys.
- After collecting enough Alloys for an armor piece, take the quest to complete Bonfire Bash. Completing the activity awarded that armor piece.
The same general process applied to unlocking armor glows, and progress could be tracked in the Forge. Activities and where Bonfire Bash fit
Bonfire Bash was the activity tied directly to claiming armor after gathering enough Solstice Alloys. Bungie’s current Solstice support guide describes the European Aerial Zone (EAZ) as a three-player matchmade space used for Bonfire Bash, where raising the bonfire earns more loot. The guide also describes Portal Ops with rotating Solstice modifiers and Solstice Scorched Crucible modes using Scorch Cannons. These are guide-level descriptions; the maintained support page is not a historical change log, so it does not establish that every activity configuration was identical during the 2024 event. Weapons and other event rewards
Fortunate Star and returning weapons
The new weapon Bungie highlighted for 2024 was Fortunate Star, a Void combat bow. Bungie also said previous Solstice weapons would return, calling out a returning 120 hand cannon that could roll Precision Instrument. As an example of an appealing bow combination, Bungie mentioned Repulsor Brace with Destabilizing Rounds; these were possibilities, not guaranteed drops or a declaration of a best roll. Armor glows and the Solstice Keepsake
Completing the armor glows for a full set unlocked the Solstice Keepsake Memento. Bungie’s August 22 reminder encouraged players to finish a full armor set and its glows, farm Bonfire Bash for weapon rolls, collect Keepsakes, and complete Solstice Triumphs and the Solstice Title. Can you still get Solstice 2024 rewards?
No. Bungie’s August 22, 2024 reminder said the event would close at the start of maintenance on August 27, 2024. The available sources do not establish a more precise start time for the event or its closing maintenance. Bungie’s support guide says the Event Home was free to all players and could be reached through Eva Levante or The Portal while the event was active, but event rewards were accessible only during the event. Historical merchandise note
