What the Year of Prophecy leak revealed
On April 30, 2025, Forbes reported that a previously unknown Year of Prophecy bundle had appeared briefly on the Bungie Store before being removed. The listing showed a price of $275. What were the Year of Prophecy release dates?
Bungie announced two paid expansions alongside two major updates. These are the announced dates, not upcoming releases:

What did the $275 Collector’s Edition include?

The Ultimate Edition content included New Land Beyond, an exotic sniper rifle, its ornament and catalyst, an exotic emote and sparrow, Dark Side Legends armor ornaments, and Secret Stash currency items. Bungie’s description also says the Year of Prophecy paid edition package included both expansion campaigns, a new raid and dungeon, and rewards passes. In an official announcement dated May 21, 2026, Bungie said Destiny 2’s final live-service content update would be released on June 9, 2026, under the title Monument of Triumph. Bungie also said the game would remain playable; this announcement was not a shutdown notice. The Destiny 2 Dev Team wrote: “Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today.” Read Bungie’s announcement.
