Its Unique power reduces your active Ultimate’s cooldown when you Evade through enemies, up to a maximum reduction of 10 seconds. The per-enemy value is version-sensitive, so check the item’s in-game tooltip for the current number.
What does Flickerstep do?
Flickerstep’s defining effect rewards Evading through enemies: each enemy you pass through reduces the cooldown of your active Ultimate. Blizzard’s original item entry describes the effect as: “Each enemy you Evade through reduces your active Ultimate Cooldown by 2-4 seconds, up to 10 seconds.” Blizzard Entertainment’s item entry is an official historical description, not a guarantee of the value shown on the current item.

How much Ultimate cooldown does it reduce?
The published values differ by source and version. Blizzard’s original entry gives a range of 2–4 seconds per enemy Evaded through; a third-party database currently lists 3.0–4.0 seconds. Both descriptions retain the 10-second maximum reduction. Because this is a changeable game value, use the tooltip on your own Flickerstep in-game to confirm the live per-enemy amount.
The latest official patch notes available here are Patch 3.2.2, dated September 30, 2026. They do not mention a Flickerstep-specific change, but that omission does not establish that its full current tooltip is unchanged. Blizzard’s official patch-notes page is the place to check for later updates.

Which affixes changed in Patch 2.5?
Blizzard’s Patch 2.5 notes record three changes to Flickerstep’s listed affixes:
- The inherent Evade-grants-Movement-Speed affix was removed.
- Damage Reduction from Close was replaced with Life.
- Lightning Resistance was replaced with All Resistance.
These notes describe the changes, but do not provide a complete current item card or every present-day affix value. For the full affix roll on a specific pair, inspect its in-game tooltip. Blizzard’s official patch notes document the Patch 2.5 update.

Where can Flickerstep drop?
A third-party item database lists Flickerstep as part of the general Unique drop pool. That is secondary information, and the source does not establish a drop rate or a guaranteed farming method. The database entry for Flickerstep also lists its cooldown reduction as 3.0–4.0 seconds per enemy; confirm volatile details against the live game.
