Diablo IV update 2.1.1, build 61734, released on February 4, 2025, for all platforms. It improved the visibility of Season of Witchcraft activities, made Armory loadouts easier to manage, and delivered fixes across accessibility, classes, achievements, and the interface. One notable change to Druid’s Lacerate was reversed in update 2.1.2.
When did Diablo IV update 2.1.1 release?
Blizzard lists Diablo IV 2.1.1 as Build #61734 (All Platforms), dated February 4, 2025. It is a historical patch, not the current game version: the same notes page lists updates 2.1.2 on February 18, 2.1.3 on March 4, and 2.1.4 on March 18, followed by a PlayStation 5 stability hotfix on March 20, 2025.

What changed in Season of Witchcraft?
The update made seasonal activities and their status easier to find, while adjusting how often some encounters appeared.

- Forgotten Altars appeared more often.
- More Ravens of the Tree were added to Headhunt Zones.
- Two Whisper bounties were added.
- UI indicators for Headhunt progress and Headrotten Boss spawning were added or adjusted.
Season Journey progression note
Blizzard said players affected by Season Journey issues would complete previously missed objectives when advancing to another Coven’s Favor Reputation Rank. For players already at maximum Coven reputation, Blizzard said it was investigating a retroactive solution tied to progression of the repeatable Tier 20 rank; the 2.1.1 note did not say that solution had already been implemented.

What changed in the Armory?

What kinds of bugs did patch 2.1.1 fix?
Blizzard’s 2.1.1 entry covers fixes across several parts of the game, rather than one isolated system:

For the full item-by-item list, consult Blizzard’s official Diablo IV 2.1 patch notes and read the 2.1.1 section specifically. The page includes entries for several later 2.1 updates, so changes listed under another version should not be attributed to 2.1.1.
Did Blizzard reverse the Lacerate change?
Yes. Update 2.1.1 fixed an issue that allowed movement while channeling Druid’s Lacerate, restricting that behavior. In 2.1.2, Blizzard reversed the change after players said it limited the skill’s intended functionality. Blizzard’s developer note said: “We have heard feedback about how this change limited the desired functionality of Lacerate. The change has been reversed and we’re considering further improvements for Lacerate in the future.”

How to read the 2.1.1 notes
The Blizzard page collects multiple releases under the 2.1 heading. To identify what shipped in this patch, use the dated “2.1.1 Build #61734 (All Platforms)—February 4, 2025” entry; do not treat balance changes from the main 2.1 release or later 2.1.x entries as part of 2.1.1.
