Is Diablo IV PS5 Pro enhanced?
Yes. The official US PlayStation Store currently includes Diablo IV in its PS5 Pro Enhanced Games category. That establishes the current designation, but the listing does not spell out what the enhancement changes in the game.

Was it the first Microsoft game confirmed for PS5 Pro?
GameSpot reported in 2024 that Diablo IV was the first Microsoft game confirmed for PS5 Pro enhancement, attributing the confirmation to Blizzard president Rod Fergusson. That is a historical, attributed report; the PlayStation Store category confirms the game’s present designation, not its place in a chronological comparison.
Separately, PlayStation’s PS5 Pro launch announcement included Diablo IV among more than 50 games receiving enhancements at launch. That inclusion confirms it was on PlayStation’s launch-era enhanced-games list, but does not independently verify that it was the first Microsoft game.

What does the PS5 Pro designation tell you about Diablo IV?
PlayStation says PS5 Pro enhancements vary by game. Its general overview describes capabilities available to compatible titles, but the official material cited here does not specify which capabilities Diablo IV uses.
- No Diablo IV-specific resolution or frame-rate target is established in the cited material.
- No specific use of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) is documented there.
- No measured visual or performance uplift is provided.
So the designation confirms that PlayStation classifies the game as enhanced for PS5 Pro, but it is not enough to promise a particular mode, image quality, or performance result.

Is Enhanced Visuals the PS5 Pro enhancement?
Not on the evidence available here. Blizzard separately announced a console ray-tracing option called “Enhanced Visuals” and described that setting as locked at 30 FPS overall. That announcement does not connect the option to a PS5 Pro-specific enhancement, so the two should not be treated as the same feature.
Do you need a PS5 Pro to play Diablo IV?
No reviewed PlayStation source says a PS5 Pro is required. PlayStation says the console plays PS5 games, and the Store lists Diablo IV as a PS5 game. The Pro is therefore optional hardware context, not an established requirement to play the PS5 version.
