When did Chapters 3 and 4 come out?
Toby Fox announced that DELTARUNE Chapters 1–4 would release on June 5, 2025. The official announcement also set the then-current price for those four chapters at $24.99 and described future chapters as free updates. Those are the terms announced in 2025, not confirmation of current pricing or availability. Toby Fox’s June 2025 newsletter also listed the Steam soundtrack at $14.99, with more than 150 songs at the time.
How big was the Steam surge in 2025?
Release-day coverage from Windows Central reported more than 130,000 concurrent Steam players on June 4, 2025, and said the game had reached Steam’s Top Sellers chart. That is a report from the launch period, not a current player count. Windows Central’s June 4, 2025 report describes the momentary figure and chart position.
SteamCharts lists a June 2025 monthly peak of 69,251 players. That tracker figure is lower than Windows Central’s reported 130,000-plus launch-day count, so the numbers should not be treated as interchangeable or collapsed into one definitive peak. What happened with Chapter 5 in June 2026?
Chapter 5 coverage in June 2026 described a later, larger Steam surge. GamesRadar+ reported 291,816 concurrent players during its launch coverage and compared that with a prior high of 133,930 around the Chapters 3 and 4 release. Separately, SteamCharts lists a June 2026 monthly peak of 290,973. The GamesRadar+ observation and SteamCharts monthly peak are close, but they are distinct reports and measurements. Why do the reported player counts differ?
Concurrent-player totals change over time, while a monthly peak summarizes a tracker’s recorded high for a calendar month. News coverage may capture or report a figure at a particular moment; a tracker may use its own collection and reporting window. SteamCharts is a third-party tracker, and its counts are volatile. These historical reports establish release surges, not how many people are playing at this exact moment.
