Yes—Dispatch is a relatively light PC game. Steam lists a GTX 960 or Radeon RX 560, an Intel Core i5-6402P or Ryzen 5 1600, 2 GB of RAM and 15 GB of storage as the minimum Windows specification. For a more dependable experience, use the recommended GTX 1050 or RX 580, an i5-7400 or Ryzen 5 2600, and 16 GB of system memory. The most important PC-specific issue is not ray tracing or an absent high-end GPU: the Windows build is capped at 62 FPS, which can make camera pans judder. Matching VSync to a 60 FPS cap usually produces the smoothest result.

Steam’s current listing is the canonical compatibility table. Both tiers require 64-bit Windows 10 or later, DirectX 11, 15 GB of available storage and a DirectX-compatible sound card. The CPU, GPU and memory targets change between tiers.

These are compatibility baselines, not an official 1080p or 1440p frame-rate guarantee. AdHoc Studio has not published a first-party FPS table or a preset-by-preset Low, Medium, High or Ultra guide. A generic calculator or a card comparison therefore cannot promise a particular frame rate in Dispatch.
Can my PC run Dispatch?
If your computer is at or above the minimum CPU and GPU, has a 64-bit Windows installation and can spare the disk space, it meets the published floor. Dispatch uses 64-bit Unreal Engine 4.27.2 with Direct3D 11 and a mostly 2D comic-book presentation. Technical.city rates its hardware demand at 2.3 out of 10 (“lightly demanding”), so a modern supported desktop GPU does not need to be an RTX-class model.

The NVIDIA entries deserve context. GTX 960 is the minimum and GTX 1050 is the recommended name, but that is not a large generational jump; some comparison datasets even score a GTX 1050 below a GTX 960. The AMD line is a clearer progression from RX 560 to RX 580. Do not buy a new GTX 1050 merely because Steam prints that model on the recommended line—it is an older card. If your current GPU is below GTX 960 or RX 560, look for any currently sold card that is demonstrably faster than that floor rather than targeting a specific discontinued model.
What does the 2 GB RAM minimum really mean?
Steam does list 2 GB as the minimum, but that is not a realistic working budget for a current Windows desktop with Steam, a browser, security software and a voice chat client open. The listing does not identify the number as an error, so it should not be rewritten as a confirmed typo. Treat 16 GB as the practical smoothness target, especially for cinematic scenes and long sessions. If your computer has 8 GB, close background applications before assuming the GPU is the problem.

Why is Dispatch locked to 62 FPS, and how do I stop judder?
The PC build has a 62 FPS cap; 120 FPS and higher modes are not supported. PCGamingWiki describes the result directly: “The game utilises a 62 FPS framerate cap that causes noticeable judder, particularly in panning shots.” A 62 FPS output can repeatedly fall out of phase with a 60 Hz display, so the game may look uneven even when the hardware is fast enough.
- Open Dispatch and go to Settings > Display. Leave the game’s VSync enabled.
- For the most consistent 60 Hz presentation, open your NVIDIA, AMD or Intel graphics control panel and add the Dispatch Win64 executable from the game’s
DispatchBinariesWin64folder. - Set driver-level VSync for that executable and use a 60 FPS cap. PCGamingWiki documents RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) with “front edge sync” as the named cap method.
- On a 120 Hz monitor, use half-refresh-rate VSync so the display, VSync and 60 FPS cap agree. This is the documented workaround: “Vsync needs to match 60 FPS, e.g. on a 120 Hz display, use half refresh rate Vsync.”
- If you use a variable-refresh-rate display, a 60 FPS cap without VSync is another option. It can avoid the 62-versus-60 mismatch, but some panels may show VRR flicker.
Do not look for a hidden DLSS, FSR, XeSS or frame-generation switch to solve this particular issue. Those features are not native options in the shipped PC build.

What are the best Dispatch settings for smoother performance?
Start with the game’s normal display controls rather than editing Unreal configuration files. The following setup keeps image quality predictable and addresses the documented causes of uneven presentation.
- Install with headroom. Put the game on a drive with substantially more than Steam’s 15 GB requirement so updates and installer scratch files have room. An SSD is sensible for quieter, quicker loading, but Steam does not list one as a requirement.
- Update the graphics driver. Install the current driver from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel, then restart Windows if the installer requests it. Developer-facing troubleshooting lists this as the first performance step.
- Choose the display’s native shape. Use native 16:9 resolution on a standard monitor. 4K Ultra HD is supported, but the 62 FPS ceiling remains; at 4K, resolution is a clarity and GPU-load choice rather than a way to gain more frames. Ultra-wide displays are pillarboxed to 16:9, multi-monitor presentation is not supported in the documented PC feature set, and FOV cannot be adjusted.
- Keep VSync on. Restore it under Settings > Display if someone has disabled it, then apply the matched 60 FPS method above when panning still looks uneven.
- Use windowed or borderless only when needed. Windowed mode can be toggled in the menu or with
Alt+Enter; borderless fullscreen is available. - Close overlays if symptoms persist. Disable Steam, Discord and GeForce overlays one at a time when diagnosing stutter, tearing or black frames. Changing one overlay at a time makes it clear which component changed the result.
- On a laptop, use wall power. Plug in the charger and select Windows’ best-performance mode. Battery limits can make an otherwise adequate mobile GPU appear underpowered.
Which options affect image quality without raising frame rate?
Dispatch keeps 8x anisotropic filtering enabled through engine variables; PCGamingWiki notes that this has little practical impact because the presentation is largely 2D. There is no native HDR or ray-tracing mode, no DLSS/FSR/XeSS upscaler and no frame generation. Color-blind options include Deuteranopia, Protanopia and Tritanopia, each with an intensity slider. Audio has separate Global, Cinematic Music, Shift Music, SFX and Voice Over sliders, plus stereo output, a “Pause on Lost Focus” option enabled by default and a “Replace Licenced Music” toggle.

How do I troubleshoot Dispatch stuttering, tearing, black frames or crashes?
Use this order so a simple synchronization or overlay conflict is ruled out before changing files.
- Stutter or panning judder: keep in-game VSync on, then match driver VSync to a 60 FPS cap. Check that a laptop is plugged in and that no overlay is injecting into the game.
- Screen tearing: restore VSync under Settings > Display. If tearing began after changing a driver profile, remove the per-game override and recreate it with a 60 FPS cap.
- Black frames: turn off Steam, Discord and GeForce overlays individually. Developer-facing guidance specifically lists overlay disabling as a possible remedy for stuttering, tearing and black-frame problems.
- Crashes or memory-related behavior: turn off subtitle animation and retest. iTechGuides, relaying developer guidance, says subtitle animation can contribute to memory leaks. Subtitles themselves can remain enabled; the diagnostic change is the animation option.
- Still unstable: verify the installation through the store client, reboot after a driver update and test with background recording or monitoring overlays closed. If the issue remains, contact AdHoc support at
[email protected]and include your Windows version, GPU driver version and crash symptoms.
Advanced users can edit Unreal Engine scalability variables in the configuration files, but that is not the default fix for the 62 FPS behavior. Start with synchronization, drivers and overlays before changing engine values.
How much storage does Dispatch need?
Use Steam’s 15 GB figure as the official installation requirement. PCGamingWiki lists 25 GB on a single storage row, and some older third-party listings also show 25 GB. The discrepancy is not resolved by a separate AdHoc minimum/recommended table. Leave well above 15 GB free anyway: updates and temporary installer files can require working space beyond the final installed size.
Does Dispatch run on Steam Deck?
Yes. Valve’s Steam Deck verification, as relayed by pcgame.com, says the default graphics settings perform well. The default controller configuration exposes all functionality, shows Steam Deck button prompts and keeps in-game text legible. The verification notes that external controllers are not supported for the primary player on Deck, so use the built-in controls for the supported configuration.

Display and aspect ratio
The PC presentation is built around 16:9. A 4K monitor can render at 4K, but the frame cap does not rise with resolution. Ultra-wide users should expect pillarboxed 16:9 rather than a wider field of view.
Keyboard, mouse and gamepads
Keyboard and mouse input is available. Xbox/XInput pads work directly, while DualShock and DualSense users can enable Steam Input from Library > Dispatch > Properties > Controller. Steam provides controller presets for DualSense, Xbox One and Steam Deck. Connect a pad before launching when possible so the game selects the intended prompts.
Configuration and save locations
Per-user configuration files are stored at %LOCALAPPDATA%DispatchConfigWindowsNoEditor. Save files are in %LOCALAPPDATA%DispatchSavedSaveGames. Steam Cloud is supported. Back up the SaveGames folder before replacing files or moving from the demo to the full game, because an overwrite can remove a working local copy.

Is a hardware upgrade worthwhile for Dispatch?
Upgrade the component that is actually below the published baseline rather than buying a high-end graphics card for this one game. If the GPU is weaker than GTX 960 or RX 560, a currently sold card that exceeds that performance level is the relevant target. If the graphics card already clears the requirement but the system has 8 GB or less, moving to 16 GB of RAM is the most defensible upgrade for smoother multitasking. Match the laptop or desktop form factor and the DDR generation supported by the motherboard.
An SSD with considerably more than 15 GB free is a practical installation and loading upgrade, not an FPS upgrade. An Xbox Wireless Controller or another XInput pad is useful only if you prefer gamepad input; it does not change rendering performance.

The Windows version launched alongside PlayStation 5 on 22 October 2025, with episodes released weekly through 12 November 2025. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions arrived on 28 January 2026; the original Switch version is listed at 720p/30 FPS, while the Switch 2 Edition is listed at 1440p/60 FPS. Are there official physical PC copies of Dispatch?
The catalog documented for this release includes digital Windows storefronts, but no physical Windows SKU was identified. Announced physical editions were for selected console platforms, not a boxed PC version.
