Yes—players still report finding Battlefield 1 matches on Xbox, but activity is inconsistent. Recent player reports include both active games and empty server lists, so there is no guarantee that every mode will have a match when you look. If the browser appears empty, check its filters before concluding that nobody is playing.
What to expect from Xbox matchmaking
Recent Xbox community reports describe people finding matches as well as players seeing empty server lists. Those accounts show that the game is still being played, but they are anecdotes, not a count of the Xbox population. Match availability can vary with region, time, mode, and server-browser settings; the available evidence does not establish a reliably busy region, mode, or time.

There is no authoritative Xbox-specific live player count in the sources reviewed. PC concurrent-player figures, even if available elsewhere, would not tell you how many people are playing on Xbox.
How to check for matches
- Open the server browser. Check the available server listings rather than relying only on a quick-match result.
- Review and broaden the filters. A recent player comment says filters can hide occupied servers. This is a sensible first check, not a guaranteed fix.
- Look at the listed servers again. If the browser remains empty, activity may be low for your selected region, mode, or time. Community reports do not establish a particular setting that will always produce a match.
Is Battlefield 1 still available on Xbox?
EA’s beginner guide lists Battlefield 1 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and the Xbox Store lists the game as an Xbox product. EA’s online-services update page, in the A–H section reviewed, lists shutdown notices for some other Battlefield games but does not list Battlefield 1. That means no Battlefield 1 shutdown notice was found there; it is not a live server-status check or a guarantee of uninterrupted service.

For console online multiplayer, the Xbox Store listing says Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate is required, with the subscription sold separately. Subscription names and terms can change, so check the current listing for your region.

Do not assume cross-play between Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. EA says Platoon play with friends is limited to the same platform; its example is an Xbox One player playing with a friend also on Xbox One.

Should you buy or reinstall it?
- If you already own it: It is reasonable to try the server browser, especially if you are willing to check filters and accept that match availability varies.
- If you need to buy it: Base your decision on a willingness to look for active servers rather than an expectation of instant matchmaking or populated lobbies in every mode. The Xbox Store confirms the game is listed for Xbox; the sources here do not establish a current price or regional availability.
