Yes. You need four players in the session to complete the full Shadows of Evil main Easter egg, according to the walkthrough from Call of Duty: Zombies Guides, updated July 7, 2026. That requirement applies to finishing the quest—not to playing the map.
What the four-player requirement means
The walkthrough states, “To complete this quest fully, four players are required.” Its claim is specifically about completing the main quest in full. Can you play Shadows of Evil solo?
Yes, playing the Zombies mode alone is a different question from completing this Easter egg. Activision says Zombies can be enjoyed solo, while noting that Easter eggs are best done with a group.
