How the 2026 Ghosts Exposed hunt works
The hunt runs on the in-game clock, not your local time. In the 2026 route, the first nine ghosts each have a one-hour in-game appearance window between 20:00 and 06:00. You can photograph those nine across different in-game nights; you do not have to finish them all in a single session. GTADB’s 2026 guide says an in-game hour lasts roughly two real-world minutes, but treat that conversion as guide-reported planning advice rather than an official Rockstar timing rule.

What happens with the tenth ghost
The final ghost is gated: all nine earlier photos must be accepted before it appears. Its 2026 window is 00:00–01:00 in-game. If you reach that hour without the nine accepted photos, the guide advises returning on the next in-game night after completing the prerequisites.

How to plan your photos
- Use the in-game clock to identify each ghost’s one-hour window; do not schedule around your real-world clock.
- Photograph the first nine ghosts as their windows allow. Your progress can span multiple in-game nights.
- Confirm that all nine photos have been accepted before attempting the final ghost.
- Be ready for the final 00:00–01:00 in-game window. If you miss it or are not yet eligible, return on a later in-game night.
A current walkthrough reports completing the activity solo on PC, so the hunt does not appear to require a group. That report is not a guarantee that every player can complete every stop in one continuous real-world sitting. These hours, locations and reward are specific to the 2026 Halloween event, not evergreen instructions. Rockstar’s Title Update 1.73 notes list the Halloween event as running October 1 through November 4, 2026; Rockstar’s seasonal announcement provides additional event context. Seasonal details can change in a later year, so use a current route for the active event rather than assuming this schedule will carry over.
