The standard GameSir G7 Pro is listed for Xbox, PC, and Android, not PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch. GameSir documents no supported connection mode for either console. That means neither console is officially listed as compatible; it does not prove that every third-party adapter workaround is impossible.
Which platforms does the standard G7 Pro support?
GameSir’s official FAQ says, “The G7 Pro supports XBOX, PC, and Android.” Its product listing specifies Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Android, and Steam. The manufacturer assigns a different connection mode to each platform group:
| Platform | GameSir’s published support | Published connection |
|---|---|---|
| Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One | Listed | Wired |
| PC | Listed | Wired or 2.4 GHz |
| Android | Listed | Bluetooth |
| PlayStation 5 | Not listed | No supported connection documented |
| Nintendo Switch | Not listed | No supported connection documented |
Sources: GameSir’s G7 Pro FAQ and official product listing. “Not listed” describes GameSir’s published compatibility information; it is not a claim that an adapter could never work.
Why “tri-mode” does not mean PS5 or Switch support
GameSir calls the G7 Pro a tri-mode controller, but its documented modes are tied to Xbox, PC, and Android: wired for Xbox, wired or 2.4 GHz for PC, and Bluetooth for Android. The label describes those connection options, not universal console compatibility. The product’s listed features—including Mag-Res TMR sticks, Hall Effect analog triggers with Micro Switch trigger stops, four rumble motors, a built-in gyroscope with PC-only motion control, and GameSir Nexus customization—do not expand the published platform list.
#1 Best Overall
- Tri-mode Connectivity: Wired for Xbox, 2.4G & Wired for PC, and Bluetooth for Android. The G7 Pro supports seamless connectivity across Xbox, PC, and Android. Effortlessly switch between modes using the convenient physical mode switch.
- TMR Sticks: The G7 Pro features GameSir's Mag-Res TMR sticks, combining Hall Effect durability with traditional potentiometer performance. This advanced technology delivers stable polling rates for smooth, drift-free gaming with low power consumption.
- Hall Effect Analog Triggers: The GameSir precision-tuned Hall Effect analog triggers provide unmatched smoothness and linear input for precise control. Featuring clicky Micro Switch trigger stops, gamers can easily switch based on their preferences.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate on PC: Experience ultra-responsive gaming with a 1000Hz polling rate on PC, available through both wired and 2.4G wireless connections. This ensures instantaneous input registration, reducing lag and optimizing your performance for the most competitive gameplay.
- GameSir Nexus App: The G7 Pro is compatible with the upgraded GameSir Nexus app, which brings a significant upgrade over the original. It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.
Can an adapter make it work?
The official sources reviewed do not verify a converter or adapter that makes this exact standard G7 Pro work on PS5 or Switch. Because third-party compatibility is not established here, check an adapter maker’s compatibility list for the exact controller model, console, and firmware before relying on a workaround. Do not treat the G7 Pro’s Android Bluetooth mode as evidence of Switch support.
What to use for Nintendo Switch instead
GameSir publishes Switch pairing instructions for the separate Tarantula Pro. The tutorial directs users to Controllers → Change Grip/Order, then to hold the specified controller buttons until the channel indicators flash and wait for the connection. This is evidence for Tarantula Pro pairing only; it does not establish Switch compatibility for the G7 Pro or PS5 compatibility for the Tarantula Pro.

Check the exact model before buying or troubleshooting
Keep the standard Xbox G7 Pro distinct from both the G7 Pro 8K PC variant and the Tarantula Pro. Similar names do not transfer compatibility: instructions or features for one model are not proof that another works on a console. For a purchase decision, use the manufacturer’s page for the exact model and confirm the target platform is explicitly listed.
