Ubisoft’s reviewed official sources do not document a general way to buy a digital game in the Ubisoft Store and send it directly to another person. A Ubisoft gift card may be an option where it is currently offered, but the cited Store terms are for the United States only. Ubisoft Wallet balances are not transferable, and its friend referral program is a separate, game-specific rewards offer.
Can you gift a game through the Ubisoft Store?
The official Ubisoft sources reviewed do not describe a general direct game-gifting feature in the Ubisoft Store. That means you should not assume you can purchase a game on your account and designate another Ubisoft account as the recipient.
Ubisoft’s US Store Terms of Sale cover video games, digital content, and gift cards, but state that the products and services covered are available only for purchase and use in the United States. The terms were last updated in September 2024. They do not establish current gift-card availability in every region or confirm a specific retailer listing. Read Ubisoft’s US Store Terms of Sale.
Can you give someone a Ubisoft gift card?
Possibly, where Ubisoft offers gift cards for the recipient’s region. The US Store terms include gift cards, but that alone does not confirm current stock, redemption conditions, or availability elsewhere. Before buying, check the recipient’s regional Ubisoft Store and confirm that the card can be redeemed in their country and on the relevant account or platform.

Do not treat an approved retailer for a different Ubisoft product as proof that gift cards are sold there. Ubisoft lists Amazon, Epic Games, and Steam as approved digital distributors for in-game currency; that guidance does not establish that any particular currency purchase can be gifted or that those retailers currently sell Ubisoft gift cards. Ubisoft’s guidance on buying virtual currency also warns that currency from another region may be region-locked.
Can you transfer Ubisoft Wallet balance?
No, not as a gifting workaround. Ubisoft’s US Wallet Terms say Wallet balance is non-refundable and “non-transferable to another person or another person’s Ubisoft Wallet,” unless required by law. The terms allow the balance to be used for Ubisoft purchases, but do not provide a general way to send it to someone else. See Ubisoft Wallet Terms.

Is Ubisoft Friend Referral a way to gift a game?
No. Ubisoft describes Friend Referral as a program in which users refer specified games to Ubisoft friends and may earn program-defined rewards. Which games qualify, the program dates, and the rewards depend on the relevant program terms. It is not a general purchase-and-gift feature, and referral does not mean you have bought a copy for your friend. Read the Friend Referral Program terms.

Rules depend on the product, region, and platform. Ubisoft’s reviewed US terms say Credits, Subscriptions, and Additional Content cannot be sold or transferred, and that Ubisoft does not recognize purported real-world gifts or trades of items originating in its services. For in-game currency, buy only from Ubisoft or a distributor Ubisoft approves, and check that the currency is for the recipient’s region. The support guidance does not establish that currency can be sent between accounts. Avoid account sharing or attempts to transfer account-bound content as a substitute for an official gift option.
