Yes. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 supports crossplay between PC versions on Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. According to Focus Entertainment’s current official FAQ, crossplay applies to the Campaign, Operations/PvE, and Eternal War/PvP.
Which platforms support Space Marine 2 crossplay?

Players on these platforms can play together through the game’s online multiplayer services. The announced Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for Holiday 2026 and is not a currently released crossplay platform. See the official Focus FAQ for the current platform list.

Under the current official FAQ, Space Marine 2 has “full” crossplay across its principal game modes:

Older articles often say that PC and console players are separated in Eternal War. That was accurate under the original launch FAQ, which divided Eternal War into a PC pool—Steam and EGS—and a console pool—PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, the newer Focus FAQ published on September 11, 2025 describes full crossplay and no longer lists that PvP exception. The older information should therefore be treated as outdated.
Is Space Marine 2 cross-progression supported?
Yes. Cross-platform saves and cross-progression are supported through Prism Ray Online Services (PROS). To use the feature, your relevant platform accounts must be connected through PROS. The official FAQs identify PROS as the service used for cross-platform saves, but do not document every account-linking screen or platform-specific prompt.

Cross-progression is separate from crossplay: crossplay lets people play together, while cross-platform saves allow supported progress to follow an account between platforms.

Yes. The official FAQ says crossplay can be disabled. The documented result is that matchmaking is restricted to players on the same platform.

Focus and Saber’s current official materials confirm the feature but do not publish a verified, current menu path or exact button label for changing the setting. Because the interface can vary by platform and game version, it is safer to follow the option shown in your own current in-game settings rather than rely on an unverified path such as “Main Menu → Settings → Crossplay.”
Does offline play support persistent multiplayer progress?
Offline behavior differs by mode:
- Campaign: offline Campaign progress is saved on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
- Operations/PvE: an online connection is required for progress to persist. Perks, skins, and rewards earned offline do not carry into the next session.
Crossplay itself requires the game’s online multiplayer services. Space Marine 2 does not support LAN multiplayer, so players cannot use crossplay as a local-network feature.

Does the game edition affect crossplay?
No edition-specific crossplay restriction is documented. The official FAQs describe crossplay in terms of supported platforms and modes, not Standard, Gold, Ultra, or Season Pass ownership. Based on that documentation, crossplay is a base-game platform feature rather than an edition-exclusive feature. Additional edition content may still be separate from the ability to join a multiplayer session.

Patch 14.0 went live on July 28, 2026, on every platform and was identified as the current live patch as of August 7, 2026. Its official notes do not announce a rollback of cross-platform PvP or remove the crossplay support described by the newer Focus FAQ. Check the official Patch 14.0 notes if you need version-specific changes.

Bottom line
Space Marine 2 does have crossplay and cross-platform support. Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S players can currently play together in Campaign, Operations/PvE, and Eternal War/PvP. The previously reported PC-versus-console split for Eternal War comes from an older FAQ and does not match the newer official crossplay policy.
For account-based progress between platforms, use PROS. For offline play, remember that Campaign saves persist, while offline Operations progress does not.
