Why Steam metadata is not proof of cross-play
SteamDB metadata places the game in multiplayer and shared/split-screen player-versus-player categories and lists Remote Play Together. Those labels support the expectation of shared play on or through Steam, but they do not identify a cross-platform service. Remote Play Together allows a Steam host to stream a local-style session to another participant through Steam’s system; it is not the same as a Switch, PlayStation or Xbox player joining a Steam lobby. The metadata also contains no cross-platform-play category or claim.
What would count as confirmation?
A reliable cross-play confirmation would need to come from an official platform page, a Tru Blu Games update, or documented launch notes that name the supported platform combinations.
