Across the campaign, DOOM: The Dark Ages has 34 Rubies spread across 16 chapters and 11 Wraithstones across 10 chapters, according to Push Square’s collectible guides (May 16, 2025). Use the chapter checklist below to see what each level contains, then consult the route notes for several collectibles with specific access requirements. The checklist is a complete count and distribution, but it does not provide a step-by-step route to every Ruby.
What Rubies and Wraithstones do
Rubies are an upgrade resource used at Sentinel Shrines to improve weapons, your shield, and melee equipment. Wraithstones unlock final-tier upgrades for weapons, the Shield Saw, and melee equipment. Both are collected as glowing objects attached to statues: Rubies glow red, while Wraithstones glow purple. Their paths may be blocked by combat, puzzles, or nearby statues that must be destroyed. Maps mark Rubies only after you approach them. Push Square’s Ruby guide and Wraithstone guide describe the campaign inventory and pickup mechanics.

Chapter checklist: every Ruby and Wraithstone count
The following counts reproduce the chapter distributions in Push Square’s May 16, 2025 guides. A zero means the complete Ruby index lists no Ruby for that chapter; it does not mean the chapter has no other collectibles.

| Village of Khalim (1) | 0 listed | 0 |
| Hebeth (2) | 0 listed | 0 |
| Sentinel Barracks (4) | 2 | 0 |

| Siege – Part 1 (6) | 4 | 0 |
| Siege – Part 2 (7) | 2 | 0 |
| Abyssal Forest (8) | 2 | 0 |
| Ancestral Forge (9) | 2 | 1 |
| The Forsaken Plains (10) | 3 | 1 |
| Hellbreaker (11) | 0 listed | 0 |
| Sentinel Command Station (12) | 1 | 1 |
| From Beyond (13) | 0 listed | 0 |

| City of Ry’uul (15) | 2 | 1 |
| The Kar’Thul Marshes (16) | 1 | 1 |

| Belly of the Beast (18) | 1 | 0 |

Push Square’s Ruby index omits Village of Khalim, Hebeth, Hellbreaker, and From Beyond. PC Gamer separately says From Beyond has no secrets in the level; that does not establish the absence of every collectible type. For the remaining levels, see the Ruby chapter guide and the Wraithstone chapter guide for individual entries.

Check challenge rewards before leaving a chapter
Some Rubies are tied to mission challenges rather than simply being found along an open route. PC Gamer identifies these challenge-linked Ruby pickups:
- The Holy City of Aratum: Countercult.
- Abyssal Forest: Ghost Buster.
- Sentinel Command Station: Wait for It.
- Harbor of Souls: Berserker.
Sentinel Command Station is especially worth checking before advancing: PC Gamer warns that progressing through the chapter can block routes. Review the chapter’s collectible requirements before moving on. PC Gamer’s campaign collectibles guide covers these challenges and the route warning.

The Kar’Thul Marshes
The Ruby is in a cave to the left of the starting position. Approaching it teleports you to another room; from there, dive, throw your shield at a chain, activate the Cosmic Eye, and swim to the Ruby. The chapter’s Wraithstone is in a cave opposite the left-hand Relic Fragment objective marker. Destroy five wolf statues to access it.
Spire of Nerathul
This chapter contains three Rubies and two Wraithstones. One Ruby is in a building at the upper objective area after you clear its enemies. Another requires breaking a chain with the shield to open a gate, then using a boost pad. The third is reached through an underwater tunnel in the area where you find the new Shield Rune. For the first Wraithstone, clear the encounter at a dragon landing zone. The second is beside a weapon skin, reached through a hidden landing zone and portal.

How to use this checklist during cleanup
- Compare your campaign progress with the chapter table and note levels where the listed count exceeds what you have collected.
- Before leaving a chapter, check for its challenge-linked Ruby and any routes that can be blocked by progressing the level.
- Approach unexplored areas and inspect the map for Ruby markers; the map only marks them after you get close.
- Look for the item’s colored glow on a statue, and check nearby combat arenas, puzzle mechanisms, underwater passages, or destructible statues when the route is not immediately visible.
- Spend the collected resources at Sentinel Shrines: Rubies improve equipment, while Wraithstones open its final upgrade tier.
The counts and documented routes here reflect guide coverage published in May 2025; campaign content or collectible routes may differ if a later game update changes them.
