Which platforms support split-screen on all stages?
Bandai Namco’s December 12, 2024 announcement said the update expanded local multiplayer so players could face off on any playable stage. It named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The announcement described the update as available and also noted quality-of-life improvements and balance adjustments, without listing those adjustments individually. Bandai Namco’s update announcement identifies Spike Chunsoft as the developer and gives the game’s release date as October 11, 2024.

What the Switch restriction means
Bandai Namco’s November 7, 2025 notice explicitly says that split-screen versus play using a single console on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch versions is available only on Hyperbolic Time Chamber. That is narrower than the all-playable-stage wording in the 2024 announcement, which named PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam—not the Switch versions. Read Bandai Namco’s Switch 2 and Switch notice.
The same notice says the Switch versions included most free updates distributed on the other named platforms through January 21, 2025, and that later updates would be applied gradually. Bandai Namco’s official news listing shows later update notices, including one dated September 4, 2026, but the listing alone does not establish that a later update removed the Switch stage restriction. Check the latest notice for your platform and the installed game version rather than assuming the restriction has changed.

How to interpret “split-screen on all maps”
In this context, “maps” means the game’s playable stages. The all-stage claim is about local multiplayer: two players facing off on one system. It does not mean that every platform has identical local multiplayer support. For the platforms named in the December 2024 announcement, the update opened local versus play to any playable stage; for the Switch 2 and Switch versions, Bandai Namco’s later notice specifies one stage for single-console split-screen.
