Why other quest lists have a different count
There is no single count shared by every guide. Twinfinite includes “One-Eyed Interloper” between “In Dragon’s Wake” and “Seat of the Sovran,” and “The Nameless Village” between “The Stolen Throne” and “An Unsettling Encounter.” It also treats “True Ending” as a separate entry after “Legacy,” and notes that some story quests, including “The Stolen Throne,” are optional.

When to clear side content
Before accepting “Feast of Deception”
Twinfinite identifies acceptance of “Feast of Deception” as a point of no return for incomplete Vermund story-related quests: those quests are discontinued when you accept it. Finish the Vermund-related content you care about before accepting this quest.

Before progressing beyond “A New Godsway”
PowerPyx identifies “A New Godsway” as the last practical point to clean up side content before the ending path, and warns that substantial content becomes missable after the story is finished. Use it as a final cleanup checkpoint before moving on.
These are guide-based warnings, not a complete guarantee that every side quest remains available until either checkpoint. Availability can depend on the particular quest and your progression state.

How long does the main story take?
PowerPyx estimates 20–30 hours for a story-focused walkthrough and more than 40 hours when doing side quests. These are guide estimates, not official completion-time figures; your pace and the content you pursue will affect the total.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an action RPG for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Capcom announced a March 22, 2024 release date in its release announcement.
