What are Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Rift Crystals are an in-game balance. Capcom’s support FAQ explains how paid Crystal add-ons are delivered: “Rift crystals are directly added to your currently held rift crystals.” That describes the add-on credit, not a complete account of how Crystals are earned or spent in the game. Do pawn rentals generate Rift Crystals?
Capcom confirms the online pawn-sharing loop: you can hire support pawns belonging to other players, and other players can hire your Main Pawn. Its PS5 FAQ puts it this way: “Other players from around the world can hire your Main Pawn that has shared in your adventures alongside you.” The retrieved Capcom guidance does not specify how many Rift Crystals, if any, the pawn owner receives when a rental ends, so a payout rate cannot be stated reliably. Pawn sharing is not co-op multiplayer
The rental feature lets players use one another’s pawns; it does not let players adventure together. Capcom says Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not support online multiplayer. Pawn hiring is also platform-specific: a pawn can only be hired by someone on the same platform. Capcom’s PS5 FAQ

How to make a Steam Main Pawn available
- Connect to the network.
- Rest at an inn to upload your pawn information.
- Allow time for the information to appear to other players; Capcom says the update may not be immediate.

What can Rift Crystals buy, and how do you earn them?
The Capcom support material cited here confirms add-on crediting and pawn sharing, but does not provide a comprehensive, current list of Crystal uses, gameplay rewards or earning methods. It also does not establish a rental payout formula. Without those details, specific spending costs, farming routes or promised rental earnings would be unsupported; check the game’s current menus for the options available in your edition and platform.

Can you still buy Rift Crystal packs?
Windows Central reported on June 15, 2026, citing a Capcom announcement, that the 500-, 1,500- and 2,500-Crystal packs were scheduled to be discontinued on June 25, 2026. The report said previously purchased items would remain usable. Those quantities identify the packs discussed in that dated report; they are not evidence that the packs remain on sale today. PC Gamer reported that the June 10, 2026 update added travel conveniences, not a documented Rift Crystal reward: an Eternal Ferrystone became available after speaking with Brant during “Seat of the Sovran,” or appeared in the inventory for players who had already completed that quest. The report also says Portcrystals were added to Melve, Checkpoint Rest Town and Volcanic Island Camp, with another awarded for completing “Monster Culling.” These changes concern fast travel and do not establish a Crystal payout or use.
