What is confirmed about Drova II’s platforms?
Just2D is developing Drova II: Torn Lands as a standalone sequel to Drova – Forsaken Kin, with Deck13 Spotlight as publisher. In the developers’ announcement dated 15 October 2026, Just2D said, “We’re right now at a Pre-Alpha Stage.” The same announcement says the game is in active development for PC and consoles but gives no release date.

Gematsu reports an announced platform list of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam and GOG, with a 2027 launch. That report is useful for identifying the intended platforms, but it does not replace an official release schedule. Until Just2D or Deck13 Spotlight publishes a date, 2027 should be treated as a reported target rather than a guaranteed launch day.

No official source in the available announcement material publishes sequel-specific numbers for resolution, frame rate, loading times, prices, hardware requirements, or review scores. A comparison that assigns one platform a performance winner would therefore be speculation.

PC has one practical advantage before release: announcement coverage points readers to Steam and GOG wishlist destinations. A wishlist can provide a storefront notification when a release date, price, or system requirement is finally posted. The console versions are reported as announced, but equivalent product pages were not available in the material establishing those claims.
Settings flexibility is a potential advantage, not a promise
On PC, players can normally adjust options such as resolution, graphics quality, and input devices when a game exposes those settings. Drova II’s developers have not published the settings menu, minimum or recommended hardware, frame-rate targets, or an optimization profile. - A 2027 report is not a firm date, and no preorder price is established.
If you choose PC now, the sensible action is to wishlist the game and wait for the official system requirements and store listing before planning hardware or a purchase.

PS5 or Xbox Series: a provisional console decision
Choose by ecosystem, not by an unverified performance claim
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series are both reported as planned platforms. Nothing in the published material says that either version will run at 60 frames per second, offer a particular resolution, include performance and quality modes, or load faster than the other. There is also no confirmation of trophy or achievement implementation, cross-save, cross-buy, or parity with PC.
That makes the decision straightforward for many console owners: use the system where you already keep your friends, accessories, subscriptions, and saves. If you own both consoles and are choosing solely on expected technical quality, there is not enough evidence to distinguish them yet. Wait for an official store page, technical specifications, or hands-on performance information.
Why current-generation hardware is still the safer console bet
PS5 and Xbox Series are the current-generation entries in the announced lineup. That does not guarantee a particular mode or visual feature, but it does avoid treating older hardware as the baseline for the sequel’s larger world and expanded combat. The developer has not explained how content or settings will differ between generations, so “safer” here means only that these are the newer announced console families—not that their performance has been measured.
Is Drova II coming to Nintendo Switch?
Yes, Switch is included in the platform list reported by Gematsu. The only defensible Switch-specific benefit available now is portability: you could play in handheld mode if the final release supports the announced version as planned.

There are no sequel-specific figures for docked or handheld resolution, frame rate, loading, battery impact, control layout, or feature parity. The behavior of Drova – Forsaken Kin on Switch cannot prove how Drova II will perform. A larger open world and expanded systems may create different technical demands, and the developer has not described how those demands will be handled on Nintendo’s hardware.
Select Switch if portable play is more important to you than having published technical targets. Otherwise, wait for a Nintendo store page or a developer update that explains the version’s performance and feature set.
What about PS4 and Xbox One?
Gematsu’s reported lineup also includes PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The official announcement’s wording about development for “PC and Consoles” does not, by itself, provide generation-by-generation details. There is no confirmed release timing for the last-generation editions, no upgrade policy, and no statement about whether their content, world size, visual settings, or controls will match PS5 and Xbox Series.
Owners of PS4 or Xbox One should therefore avoid preordering based only on the reported platform list. Wait for an official store listing that identifies the correct edition and explains any differences from the current-generation versions.

Can anyone say whether PS5 or Xbox Series will run better?
Not responsibly yet. The available announcements contain no laboratory tests or developer targets for frame rate, resolution, loading time, stability, or input latency. They also do not identify whether the game will offer selectable quality modes, a capped frame rate, variable-resolution rendering, or platform-specific enhancements.
When those details arrive, compare them in this order:
- Confirmed frame-rate behavior: Check the target and whether it applies to every mode, not just a best-case scene.
- Resolution claims: Distinguish native output from dynamic or reconstructed resolution and note whether the claim applies to gameplay or only menus and cinematics.
- Loading and stability: Look for measured loading times, traversal stutter, crashes, and performance consistency rather than a single peak frame-rate number.
- Controls and display options: Verify controller features, keyboard and mouse support, ultrawide or HDR support, and accessibility options if they matter to you.
- Save and purchase policies: Check cross-save, cross-buy, upgrade paths, and whether the same edition contents are included on each storefront.
Until developers publish that information or credible testing measures it, any “PS5 versus Xbox” winner is an expectation, not a fact.

There is no official release date in Just2D’s announcement. The statement that the project is in pre-alpha is the clearest status update, and it means the game is still in an early development stage. Gematsu reports a 2027 launch, but neither the day nor the month is established by the official announcement. Treat 2027 as a reported window that can change.

Because the game is pre-alpha, preorder timing, launch price, editions, early-access plans, and review availability are all unconfirmed. A storefront page that later displays a date should be checked against a direct developer or publisher announcement before making travel plans or buying hardware specifically for launch.
A decision guide for each type of player
Choose PC if you want information first
- You want to wishlist the game immediately on Steam or GOG.
- You prefer the possibility of adjusting graphics and input settings.
- You are willing to wait for system requirements before deciding whether your hardware is suitable.
Choose PS5 or Xbox Series if your console ecosystem comes first

Platform choice becomes easier once official pages fill the current gaps. Before spending money, verify the following items on the relevant storefront and in a developer or publisher update:
- Exact release date and whether it applies to every announced platform.
- Minimum and recommended PC specifications, including storage and operating-system requirements.
- Whether Steam Deck or other handheld-PC support is officially documented.
- Console resolution and frame-rate targets, including the names and trade-offs of graphics modes.
- Loading, stability, and feature differences between current- and last-generation consoles.
- Cross-save, cross-buy, cloud-save, and upgrade rules.
- Price, edition contents, physical availability, and regional differences.
- Any change to the announced platform list.
Those checks matter because every major purchasing variable—performance, price, timing, and save compatibility—remains open while the project is in pre-alpha.

PC is the best provisional choice for most readers because Steam and GOG wishlists are the only concrete platform actions currently available, and PC may eventually offer adjustable settings. PS5 and Xbox Series are sensible ecosystem choices but cannot be separated by published performance data. Switch is confirmed in the reported lineup and is worth choosing for portability alone. The reported 2027 launch and all technical comparisons remain subject to confirmation as development continues.
