Do not clear app data or uninstall until you know how to recover your account.
Android players have reported launch hangs, freezes, crashes, and ANR dialogs, but there is no single officially confirmed cause or fix for every device. The failure may involve local game data, an interrupted resource download, storage, heat, graphics compatibility, the network, an account session, or the current game build.

Identify the symptom first

A black screen before the title menu is not necessarily the same problem as a black screen after a cinematic. Note whether audio continues, touch input works, the navigation bar responds, and whether the failure occurs at the same point each time.

Do not tap “Clear data,” “Clear storage,” or uninstall the game until you know your original login method. These actions remove local app data and may sign you out. Guest progress may be difficult or impossible to recover.

Confirm whether your progress is linked to Google, email, or another sign-in provider. If you use multiple accounts, record which one is connected to Duet Night Abyss. Do not accidentally create a new account by choosing a different login button after reinstalling.
Try these low-risk fixes first
1. Update the game and Android
In Google Play Store, open your profile menu, choose Manage apps & device, and install any available Duet Night Abyss update. Also check Settings → System → System update, although the exact path varies by phone.
Use the live Google Play listing for the current version and release notes; listing metadata changes over time. Google’s documented Android recovery sequence begins with restarting and updating the device and app.
2. Restart the phone
Fully close the game, restart the phone, and launch Duet Night Abyss before opening other demanding apps. A restart can release stuck memory and graphics resources, but it is not proof that the underlying issue is fixed.

3. Force-stop the game
Open Settings → Apps → Duet Night Abyss → Force stop, then launch it again. Manufacturer labels differ, so search Settings for “Duet Night Abyss” or “Force stop” if necessary.
4. Use one stable network
Prefer reliable Wi-Fi while the game checks for updates or downloads resources. Do not repeatedly switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, lock the phone, or aggressively background the app during a first launch or post-update download. If your connection is unstable, test once on another trusted network.
Keeping the game in the foreground during resource downloads is practical troubleshooting reported by gaming coverage, not a published Duet Night Abyss requirement.

5. Reduce phone load
- Close other games, browsers with many tabs, video editors, and screen-recording tools.
- Free several gigabytes if storage is nearly full. The available sources do not establish an official Duet Night Abyss storage minimum.
- Temporarily disable battery-saver or aggressive background-management modes that may suspend downloads.
- Let the phone cool if it is hot before trying again.
Clear the cache
Cache clearing is reversible and should come before clearing data:

- Open Settings → Apps → Duet Night Abyss.
- Tap Storage or Storage & cache.
- Choose Clear cache.
- Restart the game.
Menu names vary by Android version and manufacturer. If the game works afterward, the result is consistent with a temporary local cache or initialization problem, but it does not prove that corrupted data was the cause.
If the black screen continues
- Black screen with sound: a rendering or interface problem is more likely than total app termination. Wait briefly, then test after updating and clearing cache.
- Black screen with no sound or response: force-stop the app and restart the phone. Check storage, heat, and background memory pressure.
- Black screen after a cutscene: record the quest, cinematic, and loading point. A repeatable transition failure is useful information for support.
- Black screen after an update: use stable Wi-Fi, keep the app open while resources finish downloading, and clear cache before considering more destructive steps.
- Only one account fails: avoid repeatedly wiping the app. Authentication, session, account state, or server selection may be involved.
Updating Google Play services or Android System WebView can be a reasonable general Android diagnostic for login or embedded-interface problems, but the official Duet Night Abyss sources reviewed here do not identify either component as a confirmed cause.
Clear app data only after checking your login
Use this step only when your progress is recoverable:
- Open Settings → Apps → Duet Night Abyss → Storage or Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear storage or Clear data.
- Restart the phone.
- Open the game and sign in with the original account method.
- Use stable Wi-Fi and allow required resources to finish downloading.
This removes locally stored app data and may sign you out. Google also warns that uninstalling erases saved app data, so account recovery should be confirmed before either action.

Reinstall safely
If updating, restarting, force-stopping, reducing device load, and clearing cache do not help:
- Confirm that the account is linked and that you know the correct login method.
- Uninstall Duet Night Abyss.
- Restart the phone.
- Install the current version from the official Google Play listing or the official Duet Night Abyss website.
- Launch on stable Wi-Fi and leave the app open until the initial download completes.
Do not use APK mirrors, modified APKs, unofficial repair packages, or random download sites. They add version, malware, and account-security risks. A PC launcher’s “Repair Files” function is not automatically available in the Android app; do not look for or rely on that PC procedure on mobile.
Work out whether the phone, network, account, or game is responsible

If both Wi-Fi and mobile data fail, a simple home-network problem becomes less likely, but this does not prove that the phone or game is at fault. Check the current app version, storage, other player reports, and—if safe—whether the same account works on another supported platform.

When Android becomes unresponsive
If the phone still responds, wait briefly for Android’s ANR dialog and then close the app. If the entire device freezes, use the phone’s normal restart or forced-restart procedure. Avoid launching the game dozens of times in succession; repeated attempts can increase heat and memory pressure.

Individual Google Play reviews describe very long ANR periods, but those reports do not establish a typical duration or failure rate.
When to stop troubleshooting
Stop repeatedly clearing data or reinstalling if the current version, restart, stable connection, cache clear, and one clean reinstall all fail. At that point, collect diagnostic details and contact the developer rather than continuing destructive cycles.
Contact Duet Night Abyss support
The Google Play listing provides [email protected] and also lists [email protected] under developer information. The live listing should be treated as the authority if contact details change.
Send a concise report containing:
- Phone model and Android version
- Duet Night Abyss version and installation source
- Exact symptom and screen
- Loading percentage, quest, or cutscene where it occurs
- Whether audio and touch input continue
- Wi-Fi or mobile data
- Approximate free storage and whether the phone was hot
- Steps already tried
- A screenshot or screen recording, if possible
- Your account identifier and login method, but never your password, recovery codes, or unnecessary payment information
Android loading hangs and black screens are genuine player-reported problems, but the available evidence does not establish one universal Android bug or guaranteed fix. The safest approach is to begin with reversible steps, protect account access before wiping local data, and escalate after one clean troubleshooting pass fails.
