That is a dated announcement figure—not Balance’s latest reported funding total. In February 2025, Balance’s roadmap claimed more than $110 million in total project funding, including more than $80 million in Key Node sales.
What is Balance?
Balance is E-PAL’s proposed Web3 evolution: infrastructure intended to connect gaming and social experiences with blockchain tools and AI. Balance’s official website describes it as “protocol-based user experience enhancement infrastructure that integrates various Web3 tools.” In its September 2024 announcement, E-PAL framed the project around making Web3 experiences accessible to a broad gaming audience.
The project’s own site organizes Balance into five layers. These are product descriptions published by Balance, not independent confirmation that every listed service is currently operating.

Balance’s website also claims partnerships spanning more than 180 games, broken down as 80-plus Web2 games and 90-plus Web3 games. The site does not provide a clear as-of date for that figure, and it is a company-published claim rather than an independently checked count.

How the $30 million announcement differs from later funding claims
The $30 million figure belongs to E-PAL’s September 2024 announcement, which described two funding rounds led by a16z and Galaxy Interactive. The announcement was distributed as a sponsored post by The Block. It should not be treated as Balance’s latest funding figure.
Balance’s roadmap later reported that, by February 2025, total project funding exceeded $110 million and Key Node sales had passed $80 million. These are Balance-reported milestone figures. The cited sources do not independently verify the sales or establish that the later total is directly comparable to the $30 million announcement figure; in particular, the roadmap attributes a large component to Key Node sales rather than describing it simply as investment raised in funding rounds.

What the published user and adoption figures mean
The available figures come from different dates and publications, and they do not define their user populations consistently. They should be read as separate company claims, not as a single verified current count.

The 2024 roadmap also places E-PAL’s launch in March 2020, a shift in team focus toward AI and blockchain in February 2024, Balance v1.0’s launch in July 2024, and development of the five-layer infrastructure beginning in August 2024. It says the platform went live in September 2024. Later entries say the Key Node system launched in November 2024 and node token vesting distribution began in December 2024. These are milestones described by Balance, rather than independently audited operating metrics.
What the announcement establishes—and what remains unclear
The announcement establishes how E-PAL presented Balance and the amount it said it had raised by September 2024. Balance’s site and roadmap show the scope the project says it is building, while its later updates describe additional funding, sales and user milestones. The reviewed sources do not independently validate those claims.

They also do not establish the current operational or commercial status of EPT, Balance nodes, the marketplace, Balance Chain, the stablecoin or the other listed infrastructure. A feature’s presence on the company site is not, on its own, confirmation of its availability or adoption. Readers should therefore distinguish the project’s stated roadmap and product lineup from independently demonstrated use.

For a gaming audience, the central proposition is to join familiar social and game experiences—such as companions and battle reports—to digital assets and blockchain infrastructure. The intended appeal is a unified ecosystem spanning games, community features and Web3 tools. Whether that translates into practical value depends on the availability and usefulness of those services, and on how players can engage with EPT, NFTs and nodes; the cited materials do not settle those questions.

Balance is best understood as E-PAL’s stated Web3 infrastructure vision, not as proof that a mass-adoption transition has already been independently measured. Its $30 million figure is the amount announced in September 2024; its larger February 2025 funding and node-sale totals, along with subsequent adoption statistics, are later project claims with different scopes.
