In Notebookcheck’s short kickoff-scene test, its Medion Erazer Scout E20 with an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU averaged 113.9 FPS at 1080p Ultra, 86.7 FPS at 1440p Ultra, and 45.6 FPS at 4K Ultra. Those are results for one tested laptop configuration—not a prediction for every PC with an RTX 4050.
Can my PC run EA Sports FC 25?
EA lists the following minimum and recommended specifications for PC. They are compatibility tiers; EA does not attach a target resolution or guaranteed frame rate to either tier.

These are EA’s published specifications, not a benchmark. Meeting them alone does not establish what resolution, graphics preset, or FPS a particular machine will deliver. See EA’s FC 25 PC system requirements.
What FPS can you expect at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K?
Notebookcheck’s averages below come from distinct test systems. The laptop GPU label does not describe every factor that affects performance: laptop power limits and cooling, CPU, memory, and the system’s display resolution all matter. Desktop and laptop implementations should not be treated as interchangeable.

1080p (1920×1080): settings matter on integrated graphics
At 1080p, Notebookcheck reported these averages for three tested laptop or handheld-class systems:

The integrated-graphics and handheld results fall below Notebookcheck’s 60 FPS average target at Medium and higher settings. Lowering the preset can make a substantial difference on these systems.

1440p (2560×1440) Ultra: the tested RTX 4050 laptop cleared 60 FPS
Notebookcheck measured 86.7 FPS on its Medion RTX 4050 laptop, 106.8 FPS on its Razer Blade 14 with an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, and 108.4 FPS on its XMG Pro 15 with an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. Its RTX 4080 desktop averaged 192 FPS. These are results from those specific configurations; the desktop figure is not a direct laptop-GPU comparison.
4K (3840×2160) Ultra: resolution changes the result
At 4K Ultra, Notebookcheck recorded 45.6 FPS for the Medion RTX 4050 laptop, 57.2 FPS for the Razer Blade 14 RTX 4060 laptop, 71.6 FPS for the XMG Pro 15 RTX 4070 laptop, and 168.4 FPS for its RTX 4080 desktop. In those samples, the RTX 4050 laptop was below the review’s 60 FPS target, the RTX 4060 approached it, and the tested RTX 4070 exceeded it.

How Notebookcheck measured performance—and what the numbers mean
Notebookcheck captured less than 30 seconds of gameplay in a kickoff match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at Sanderson Park, in sunny conditions at 2 pm. It used CapFrameX and skipped replays because replay scenes could have considerably lower frame rates. The published averages therefore describe a short, controlled gameplay sample, not a full-match distribution or every game mode. Notebookcheck’s review recommends aiming for an average of at least 60 FPS for subjectively smooth play.
The review also displays minimum and percentile frame data in its detailed tables. Average FPS alone cannot show how consistent performance feels, so consult those figures when frame-time lows matter to you. Notebookcheck’s tested RTX 4050 laptop exceeded its 60 FPS average target at 1080p Ultra and 1440p Ultra, but not at 4K Ultra.

Notebookcheck’s author Florian Glaser observed: “Notably, Sports FC 25 can be CPU-limited even at moderate settings and resolutions, which is somewhat unusual for PC games.” That is an observation from the review, not a guarantee that every system or later game build will be CPU-limited.
The review was originally published September 29, 2024; the page shows an October 5, 2026 update. The reported results are attributed to its test period. The page update alone does not establish that benchmarks were rerun, and the results do not establish whether later patches or drivers changed performance.

Graphics settings and test caveats
In its review, Notebookcheck described options for resolution, picture mode, refresh rate, maximum frame rate, V-Sync, dynamic resolution, and Low-to-Ultra quality settings. It reported no practical quick-configuration presets and said changing rendering quality required a game restart. The publication also reported no DLSS, FSR, or XeSS support at the time of its review; that observation should not be assumed to describe later updates.
Notebookcheck said ray tracing for ambient occlusion was theoretically possible but caused crashes during its testing, so its measurements were made without ray tracing. This is a report of the review’s test experience, not a statement about current behavior.
How to use the benchmarks when choosing a PC
- Compare the exact laptop model and GPU power configuration, not only the GPU name. Cooling and power limits can make two laptops carrying the same GPU perform differently.
- Check the processor as well as graphics hardware: the review found CPU limits possible even at moderate settings and resolutions.
- Match results to your intended resolution and quality preset. The tested RTX 4050 laptop’s 4K Ultra average was far lower than its 1080p and 1440p Ultra averages.
- Treat the short-scene average as a useful reference, not a guarantee of full-match smoothness. Minimum and percentile results add context about consistency.
