Elden Ring Nightreign patch 1.01.1, released June 2, 2025, made solo Expeditions more forgiving: it added one automatic revival during each night-boss battle and increased rune rewards in solo play. The update also improved opportunities to earn high-rarity Relics and fixed bugs across combat, stability, graphics and platform behavior. It is a historical update, not the latest one listed on the official site.
What did Nightreign patch 1.01.1 change?
Bandai Namco published patch 1.01.1 on June 2, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Its announcement labels the update App Ver. 1.01.1 and Regulation Ver. 1.01.2; those identify the versions associated with that release, not the game’s current versions. Did patch 1.01.1 make solo mode easier?
Yes. The patch added the effect “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat” to solo Expeditions, allowing one revival per night-boss battle. It also increased the amount of runes earned in solo Expeditions. These changes apply to solo play; the notes do not describe a multiplayer difficulty adjustment. They give no percentage or exact amount for either the rune increase or the revival effect.
How did the patch change Relic rewards?
The update increased the number of high-rarity Relics obtainable as a reward for reaching Day 3 during Expeditions. It also raised the probability of obtaining high-rarity Relics from Scenic Flat stones bought at the Small Jar Bazaar. The official notes do not publish exact quantities or drop rates, so the changes cannot be expressed as specific odds.

What bugs and gameplay issues were fixed?
The official notes list fixes and adjustments across a broad range of systems. Examples include:
- Adjusted the camera behavior for Guardian’s “Wings of Salvation.”
- Fixed Duchess’s “Restage” failing to trigger Status Ailments built up by other players’ attacks.
- Fixed certain Raider Greataxe and Great Hammer attacks dealing more damage than intended.
- Addressed other issues involving status buildup, weapon skills, spells, Relic effects and enemy behavior.
- Included fixes for stability, graphics, sound, the HUD, crashes and connection failures during sessions or Expeditions.

Steam-specific fixes
Steam players also received fixes for graphics at the “Low” quality setting and for climbing input behavior when using a keyboard or gamepad.
