Epic Games error code EUFA3 (also written EU-FA-3) usually indicates that the Epic Games Launcher cannot complete a connection or authentication request. Epic has not published a dedicated public definition for this exact code, so the authentication-server explanation comes from secondary technical reporting and community reports rather than a confirmed internal decoder. 3. Restart the modem, router and computer
Power-cycle the network path before changing advanced settings. Close the launcher, restart the modem and router according to their manufacturer’s normal procedure, wait for the connection to return, then restart the computer and test again. This can remove a temporary routing or session problem without changing your configuration.
4. Remove VPN or proxy variables and test another network
Temporarily disconnect a VPN and disable any manually configured proxy, then retry. If possible, connect the PC to a phone hotspot or another Wi‑Fi network. For a large download, connect the computer directly to the router with Ethernet if your hardware supports it. Epic states that wired networking is more stable than Wi‑Fi for large downloads, so this test can separate wireless interference from an Epic account problem. A USB Ethernet adapter is an optional accessory for a PC without an Ethernet port; it is useful only when wireless or local routing contributes to the failure and is not an EU-FA-3 cure by itself.
6. Run the launcher with elevated rights and clear transient network state

Clear the launcher cache using the cache-clearing option in the launcher’s current troubleshooting settings, then retry. Interface labels can change between launcher builds, so use the wording shown in your installed version rather than deleting unrelated folders.

8. Update or reinstall the launcher only after the network checks
