The Sims: Legacy Collection includes the original The Sims game and all seven of its expansion packs. It also comes with The Sims 4: Throwback Fit Kit as separate bonus content—not as an eighth Sims 1 pack.
All seven Sims 1 expansion packs in the Legacy Collection
EA lists these seven expansions in the collection:
- The Sims: Livin’ Large
- The Sims: House Party
- The Sims: Hot Date
- The Sims: Vacation
- The Sims: Unleashed
- The Sims: Superstar
- The Sims: Makin’ Magic
The base game, The Sims, is included alongside those expansions. EA Help and EA’s anniversary announcement also name The Sims 4: Throwback Fit Kit as bonus content. Because that kit is for The Sims 4, it is not one of the seven original Sims 1 expansions. EA’s 25th-anniversary announcement gives the full bundle inventory.
What kind of release is it?
The Legacy Collection is a digital PC release for Windows 10 and Windows 11. EA announced that it began rolling out on January 31, 2025, through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store. EA described the collection as updated for modern computers, including widescreen and Vulkan support and higher-quality textures for buildings and objects, while keeping gameplay and graphics true to the original. EA also said it fixed bugs that could be addressed safely without changing the game’s design. See EA’s product listing and EA Help’s collection article for current product and support details.
Launch price and published minimum requirements
EA listed the standalone collection at $19.99 at launch. That is a historical launch price, not a current quote; check the storefront for present pricing and availability.

- Operating system: Windows 10 or 11
- Processor: Intel i3-3220, Ryzen 3 1200, or AMD FX-6300
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Storage: 16 GB available space
- Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 600 series or later, AMD Radeon HD 7000 series or later, or Intel HD Graphics 620 series or later
