The Game Pass game behind the headline is Farming Simulator 25. Xbox announced on July 15, 2025, that it would join the service on August 1, 2025, for Cloud, Console, and PC. That date has passed; the announcement does not confirm whether the game is still in the catalog today.
What Xbox announced
Xbox Wire’s July 15, 2025 announcement listed Farming Simulator 25 as arriving on Game Pass on August 1, 2025. The eligible launch memberships named were Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, with access across Cloud, Console, and PC. Read Xbox’s announcement.

“Free” meant included with a membership
The announcement described access as a Game Pass membership benefit, not a free-to-play release for everyone. The precise takeaway is that eligible members could play it through their membership at launch; that is different from owning the game outright.
Is it still on Game Pass?
The August 2025 announcement establishes the planned launch date and tiers, but does not establish current catalog availability or which tiers include the game in October 2026. Check the live Xbox Game Pass catalog before relying on membership access.
