The best-supported way to level in Throne and Liberty is to follow the Main Story Quest (MSQ), also called the Adventure Codex progression path. When the next story step is level-gated, complete nearby Exploration Codex quests until it unlocks, then return to the story. Pick up town Contracts you can finish along the way. There is no verified, region-wide XP-per-hour route or time-to-cap estimate, and the current level cap varies by service region and patch.
Fastest general leveling route
For the core route, keep the story moving rather than clearing every available side activity. The official October 2024 level guide, covering levels 1–50, calls the MSQ the quickest source of EXP. Official progression guidance also recommends main story quests or the Adventure Codex as the way to level and improve skills. These are dated recommendations, not a guarantee that every detail remains optimal in every later patch or region.

- Advance the MSQ / Adventure Codex. Make the currently available main story objective your default activity.
- Bridge level gates with Exploration Codex quests. If the next story objective requires a higher level, take relevant quests in nearby zones. The October 2024 guide uses this approach at bottlenecks in its 1–50 route.
- Return to the story as soon as it unlocks. Treat exploration as a targeted detour, not a reason to clear every side quest in a zone.
- Pick up compatible town Contracts. Complete them alongside story objectives when practical, for additional experience and rewards.
The official sources do not establish Contracts as faster than story questing alone, nor do they provide comparable current XP rates or time-to-level figures for these activities. For that reason, there is no sound basis here for an “X hours to max level” promise.

Check for Hyperboost and account-specific bonuses
The September 17, 2025 Solisium’s Awakening release describes Hyperboost as an increased progression pace for new players or existing players seeking a fresh leveling experience. It says characters still progress to the maximum level through the Adventure Codex, with stronger Codex rewards; Path of Ascension adds accelerated rewards for mastery, runes, skill growth, artifacts, and other systems. Check the current client and regional update information to see which features are available to you.

The same release says new accounts receive a temporary New User Benefits buff lasting 50 days, including a +100% experience bonus on NPC kills. This is an update-specific, eligibility-dependent bonus—not a universal or permanent boost. Check your account for the active buff before planning around it.
Confirm your region’s current level cap
Do not assume an old 1–50 guide describes the current endpoint in every region. Astrum Entertainment, the regional operator, reported in an August 2026 announcement that its Talandra update continued the main storyline and raised the level maximum to 55. That is evidence for its service, not a verified global cap. Check your operator’s current patch notes and the level shown in your client before treating a cap or quest-level route as current for your account.

Amitoi Expeditions
January 2026 update 3.19.0 notes say Amitoi Expeditions award Expedition XP and XP for the associated Lifeskill, allow up to three simultaneous expeditions, and leave Amitoi fatigued after an expedition. Those details concern Expedition and Lifeskill progression; the notes do not identify the rewards as character-level EXP.
Tower of Greed
NCSoft’s January 27, 2026 announcement describes Tower of Greed as a 50-floor activity for one to six players. The announcement does not identify it as a fastest character-leveling method, so it should not displace the story route on the evidence available.
What is and is not known about speed
The dated official guidance supports a practical priority order—story first, relevant Exploration Codex quests at level gates, and Contracts alongside the route. It does not provide a current level-by-level path for all regions, controlled XP-per-hour comparisons, or an independently reproduced time to reach the cap. Older level examples should therefore be treated as guidance for the guide’s stated 1–50 range, not as a universal current speedrun plan.
