Which car is faster in GT7: the F355 or Civic?
It is not yet possible to say. GTPlanet reported on October 3, 2026 that Update 1.72 Part 1 was due October 15 and would include the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 and Honda Civic Si Group A Version ’87. No comparable lap times or controlled performance results for these two cars are established. Claims that one is faster, easier to drive, better in corners, more efficient, or stronger online would be speculation until they are tested in the game.

The reported car is specifically the Honda Civic Si Group A Version ’87, not a generic Civic or another Civic model. The Ferrari is the F355 Berlinetta ’94. Keeping the full names matters because a comparison with a different Civic in the game would answer a different question.

What would make a fair GT7 comparison?
Once both cars are available, compare them in the same event or repeatable custom-race setup. Record the conditions alongside each result; a lap-time difference means little if one car has different tires, tuning, or restrictions.
- Track and format: Use the same circuit and state whether the result is a clean lap, a multi-lap race, or an event involving fuel and tire strategy.
- Car configuration: Separate stock runs from tuned runs. Record each car’s in-game PP, drivetrain, horsepower, weight, tire compound, installed parts, and settings.
- Restrictions and assists: Keep power or PP limits, assists, and other event regulations consistent.
- Input method: Identify whether the test used a controller or wheel.
- Online rules: For an online comparison, establish the specific race regulations and Balance of Performance first. A result under one track or PP cap cannot establish a universal winner.
Gran Turismo’s official car-list announcement identifies drivetrain layout, horsepower, and weight as profile specifications that players can sort by. Can you buy either car in GT7 yet?
Not on the evidence available as of October 4, 2026: the update listing these cars was still scheduled for October 15. Their in-game prices, dealerships, and acquisition routes have not been established here. PlayStation’s coverage of Update 1.71 says vehicle purchases require credits, which players can pay for or earn through game progression; it does not give prices or purchase details for these future cars. What is the answer for racers right now?
There is no substantiated winner to recommend before release and comparable in-game testing. If you are choosing based on racing performance, wait for both cars to be available and look for results that name the track, setup, restrictions, and race format. A result from one set of conditions should be treated as specific to that test, not proof that the F355 or Civic is best everywhere.
